I am trying to replace the micro switch. I have the top off the dryer and the new switch, but can not remember how it goes back on. Would help if I could see a picture of it.

In order to replace the rollers you had to take off the dryer front. You probably had to unplug the wires to the door switch which if I remember right is in the top left corner of the front panel. Check those connections to the push button switch. If it is not connected, the door will show as open even though it is closed. Or the switch got damaged and is not making contact inside when door is closed. If i remember it is a 3 wire 1 piece plug.It also operates the drum light.
its a door switch problem. Make sure the door is latching properly at the top. If the top latch doesn't engage properly the door switch won't make contact. Try holding the door switch closed with your finger and starting the dryer. If it still wont start and you have no error codes displaying you will most likely have to replace the switch. if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks Rick
I think what you are talking about is a "micro limit switch" dryers have a few some that reset when the temp goes back down and some that when they "trip" must be replaced .they are one time use..hope this helps you
The belt can be replaced as follows. 1 remove top and front of dryer shell 2 belt goes around drum around motor pully then under tentioner wheel 3 replace front and top of dryer (top pops off use a slotted screw driver) Thanx for using Fixya Please take your time to rate me
You have a broken belt. This dryer is complimacated but here goes.Remove the console screwsand flip the control panel upwards simular to what they do on washers. Remove the 3 screw in the rear that hold the top and get the top off. Pop the bottom panel and back off the screws holding the front on then remove the screws from inside the top. You can get the front off now. Get the drum out and clean out the dryer. Oil all 4 wheels and idler. You will note the micro switch below the idler. that stops the drum from turning when the belt breaks. You will be a pro if you can fix this one.
possible door switch ..also may even be door not closing properly try holding switch down with finger and pressing start at same time if starts try adjusting door..if not switch wiring can be acessed by remove 3 screws along back of top and sliding top off on left remove screws holding metal bracket with control bd attached the 2 wire connector goes back down to door switch
ok " unplug washer from wall , ( can not stress enough that there can be no electricity running to that machine)
depending on the washer most have screws on the back at top, you will have to take them out, ok so far , most lids have metal clips holding tops on , pry top up and it will pop loose.
got that far, now look at inside of the top where lid opens and you will see a small micro switch
two screws hold switch in place, electrical wires to switch are cliped on they will pull off
take micro switch to appliance parts store they will match it
take make and model of washer with you
screw in new micro switch and attach wires to switch , and snap
washer cover back on, attach screws to the back , and your all set.
