I called again to recommend to the tech that the recommendation that i was receiving in messages he should try. He still states that I should get rid of the computer it's useless. my computer is a sony viao VGC-VA10G Series desk top and the tech said the fan has no dust and he needs to open it to see what the problem is. He said he knows it's the motherboard because the computer does not pop up a error meassage when it freezes and it should he said or the next thing he said it could be the power supply.

You need a proper security on your computer and browser to block them out.
I recommend Virus Eraser (1-877-805-1027) for the computer and will need ad blocker for the browser.

Can you still make/receive phone calls and send/receive text messaging without pictures? Do you have enough signal strength (3G or 4G bars at top) to get a good signal without roaming?
When I was in Greenville a while back, I had problems doing anything other than making/receiving phone calls (no internet, no pix). Ends up, AT&T simply had a very weak signal where I was at. I ended up switching to another phone and carrier that had better support in more areas.


I'd recommend calling AT&T cell phone support to also make sure your data (internet) and messaging (text&pix) plans are still active.
Of course, if you can't even make/receive phone calls, you likely have a more basic problem; your phone may have not been validated with AT&T yet.

In either case I'd recommend calling AT&T wireless tech support at 800-331-0500 (type 0 to get a live person) to help troubleshoot the issue with your phone. If you haven't received your phone number yet, you may need to remove the battery to provide them will more detailed info regarding your phone and sim.

If it used to send/receive text messages and no longer does I recommend shutting off the phone, taking out the battery for a minute or two, then reinstall the battery and try again. I'm assuming your phone plan allows you to text, yes?

ThinkPad computers have what we call the service partition, which can set the computer back to its factory stated even without the recovery disc. The service partition can be accessed by pressing the Access ThinkPad or Access IBM button during start up.

Prior to performing a software recovery, Lenovo recommends returning your system to it's original factory configuration by removing all hardware that has been added to your system.
When the system first starts, the following message will be displayed on a blank screen:


To start the Product Recovery program, press F11



This message will stay on the screen for approximately 2 seconds, and it will be there every time the machine is started from a powered off state. If the F11 key is pressed while the message is displayed, then the system will enter the Service partition.

Select Full Recovery to get rid of the viruses. Wait for it to complete and your computer will be back to when it was fresh as new.

Try performing a 'Master reset' to restore your phone settings back to default.

Select 'Menu' > then select 'Settings' > then select the 'General' tab > then select 'Master reset'.

You will then be asked to choose between 'Reset settings' or 'Reset all'.

'Reset settings' will restore your phone settings but will keep all of your personal data.
'Reset all' will DELETE all of your personal data and restore phone settings.

Try just 'Reset settings' first then try to send a message to yourself, this will test if your phone is able to send and receive messages. If messaging still won't work, try 'Reset all' then try to send another message.

The error would be stating LSU. It stands for Laser Scanning Unit.
The LSU error signifies that there is an issue with the laser scanner, the part that helps making prints.
There could be an issue with the laser or perhaps the polygon mirror, maybe the sensor or a combination of these that needs to be fixed.

In the User's manual it is stated:
To turn off power and wait for 20 seconds. Then turn on the power again.

If the problem is still there then you will need to call for service.
The service tech will recommend a new laser unit or control board.
