My xbox 360 will not read my disk now - Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

This problem is normally caused by the actual drive overheating, if you stop the heat build up on the sensors on the back of the drive you should be fine.

You can either send it in for repair and they will do this for you, or you can repair it yourself

Easy fix this one, its a common problem especially with elites. buy a 360 hd-dvd drive online (its an expansion dvd player so you can watch hd-dvds on your 360, it was to compete with the sony blu-ray functionality) but you can play your games via this device instead. aswell the hd-drive gives your games full 1080p quality as opposed the 720i that you get from using the 360 alone.
