Well, It sounds like there is something lodged in your Hardware drive...The beeping is probably a warning signal to tell you that it is not properly booting up...You should go to a Computer Repairman...
Does the splash screen come up? Most of the time if it is your hard drive the ACER splash screen will come up and then a Hard disk 0 error after that. If nothing appears on the screen then you have a bigger issue.
Is there any noise at all (Fan, hard drive spinning)? If so try hooking it to a external monitor to see if there is any movement. You might have a problem with your LCD.
Eject any disk from the DVD device.
Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the "data" and/or the "power" connectors from the DVD-ROM.
Turn the computer on, and see if it starts when the DVD-ROM is not part of your system.
If it starts, then your DVD-ROM needs to be replaced.
If it says that the hard drive is not detected, then most probably its a busted hard drive. I doubt it's a motherboard issue since it was able to tell you that it can't find a hard drive. Plus the fact that there are spinning noises which can only come from either the hard drive or the fans.
I suggest removing the battery when plugging it to the wall outlet or are you trying to charge it?
