STEAM CLEANER QUIT WORKING

Could use a little more info about it but I would start by removing the tanks and checking to see that they are not clogged.. There is a valve in the bottom that your hand lever opens and closes make sure that is moving as well as the hand button that releases the shampoo..

Is the Kirby shampooed supposed to pick up the water after shampooing

No. Shampooing is supposed to crystallize the dirt so you can vacuum it out. It is easy to leave to much soap residue.

  4. Belt
  5. Container with cap
  6. Hose
  7. 12 oz. shampoo
NOTE - pictured Kirby Sentria shampooer box may not be included.
If you have never used this shampoo, we highly recommend reading our ONLINE MANUAL. This is a simple but very effective unit but you have to learn how to use it and "common sense" will not be enough! HOW TO - V I D E O S

Tank with soapy solution is attached in place of the bag. It utilizes the air coming out of the exhaust to blow soapy water on a small screen that turns it into thick foam. The foam is simply laid over the carpet (you must vacuum before you shampoo). Foam allows the spread of a small amount of water over the area so carpet is not soaked all the way through. Foam is left on the carpet for a few minutes so it has just enough time to moisten the fibers of the carpet and loosen the dirt (not too long otherwise foam may dry). Then foam maker is set to "OFF" and you slowly pull Kirby vacuum over the area where you laid the foam. The rotating brush in the shampooer nozzle rubs the moisture off carpet fibers and and throws it into the tray in front of the unit. You will not see gallons of dirty water but that is because you did not put it on the rug in the first place. Carpet should dry within 1-4 hours (depends how many times you laid the foam and what is humidity in the room). After it dries it has to be vacuumed. Solution that did not get picked up with the shampooer brush dries and shampoo additives do not let the dirt stick back to the fibers of the carpet. It is loose when it dries so in order to pick up what is left, you must vacuum again.
Shampoo:
You can use any carpet shampoo sold in your local store but make sure that this is carpet shampoo that makes foam and pay attention how much you have to dilute it with water as various shampoo products come in different concentration. Avoid using "just anything" that makes foam. Some household chemicals (such as dishwasher fluid) will do great job but it will leave carpet unprotected so dirt will stick to it so well that you will have a filthy rug in no time. Don't know how to use with shampoo

Best to not put shampoo in machine. Put traffic lane cleaner in sprayer with hot water, spray onto carpet after thorough vacuuming, allow cleaner to dwell 5 to 10 minutes and clean and rinse with fresh clean water in machine. For best results do NOT put shampoo in he machine even though it was designed for it. Most of the machines brought in for repairs are clogged with soap gunk. Carpets will be cleaner and stay clean longer because the soap has been rinsed out of carpet

I shampooed my carpet, loaded clean water twice and added the cleaning solution. Then it dawned on me, the carpet is wet and there is not dirty water return. What am I doing wrong?

Look for a place where the dirty water reservoir is not sealed. There is air being sucked in somewhere else instead of the bottom where it's supposed to **** the water.

I have a blue bissell preheat 2x. While shampooing it will start to leak dirty water. When i'm done shampooing my carpets look even more filthy then when I began. Not sure why this is happening besides...

You should drain the dirty water, you should find where it is stock then drain it. If there's some leak, seal it with an epoxy. Thoroughly clean the inside and you will find there's a stock of old shampoo which causes water to become dirt.
I hope my advice help you.

WHERE DO YOU PUT THE SHAMPOO IN THE PRO SHAMPOO MACHINE THERE IS A CONTAINER IN THE BACK AND THERE IS THE WATER BAG IN THE FRONT SECTION

The shampoo solution goes in the back container. The clean water goes in the water bag in the front section.

If you need parts you can find them below

Does it matter what kind of cleaner I use on the Deep Cleaner Model F5821

Yes it does matter which cleaning solution that you use in your steam cleaner. If you use the wrong cleaning solution it may cause problems with the cleaning solution dispensary system. Different steam cleaners use different cleaning solutions. You should always use the steam cleaner solution for your specific cleaner. I have learned this the hard (and expensive) way.

Hard to recommend this but it will work in a pinch. You can use a small amount of liquid laundry detergent diluted with hot water (about 2 table spoons to a gallon) as a stand in for the real deal. DO NOT put the laundry soap solution into the cleaning solution reservoir (the wax content will clog the soap dispensary system). Lightly apply to the area to be shampooed (do not soak). I have used a plastic coffee can with holes poked in the lid like a watering can to apply the soap solution. Use the shampooer to do the scrubbing and remove soapy water from the shampooed area. Fill your soap reservoir with clean hot water. The laundry soap does most of its job during the rinse. Go over the shampooed area with the shampooer moderately soaking the shampooed area to with the hot rinse water. Remove as much of the rinse water as possible. Liquid laundry soap has a high wax content (makes your cloths soft) and if it is not rinsed thoroughly after it is dry the remaining wax will attract dirt faster than the surrounding areas. Other than that it works for a good stand in for the proper detergent in a pinch. As a bonus it smells great.

From what I understand as unorthodox as it is, it works well in small doses, and I don't believe that it causes any damage to the other parts of the steam cleaner as steam cleaners survive drawing up worse things into them than laundry soap.

I hope that you find this helpful

Good Luck!

A solution to many "non-spray" problems.

The Scotchguard is going to be dicey inside the Bissell, yes, as you have learned the hard way.

I think the Bissell and the Hoover shampoos sold for their carpet cleaning machines are reasonably safe to use in the Bissell. My own personal favorite for use with the Bissell is the Hoover Premium Pet Formula, which is pricey but effective even if you don't own pets. I also pre-treat stained areas with Resolve Carpet Cleaner, a few minutes before using the Bissell.

I don't know what will happen with your home brew containing Dove. It may work well.

Bissell steam cleaner will not spray shampoo

My Bissell stops releasing shampoo when the handle is lacked upright, when there is no water in the tank (the most common cause of this issue), or when water is not flowing through the machine because the sprayers are clogged.

Make sure the shampoo container grommet is releasing properly when you press the trigger. To check this, remove the shampoo tank from the Bissell, stand over a sink, and use a finger to push up inside the grommet on the shampoo container, the part of it that mates with the rest of the Bissell. Shampoo should dribble out when you do this. If it won't, the grommet may be clogged.
