I just had a rainbow of colors on my tv screen...i thought it was a problem with my TV...however the screen went the "sign off" screen (verticle lines-red/blue/green) Then all of a sudden the picture came back and all was back to normal again.
So I say it's nto your TV it is a station problem!
if this is a distorted kind of rainbow aura affecting the colour, you need to de-gauss the screen - a good tv repair man will have the mains powered magnet to fix this - and shouldn't charge alot.
you have a shorted green CRT that is affecting the other crts the short is internat to the crt that leaves what is called retrace lines. if the set is more than three years old then replace all three guns.
The PT-53WX54 is a standard projection set and does not have a bulb. It has 3 separate picture tubes. If you have lost the picture completely, not even on-screen menu, then something has stopped working in your set. It could be a video processor, vertical deflection or possibly a convergence problem. The set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with the Panasonic projection sets.
i think you have a burn element called PTC in it it is a kind of remegnetizing the screen

You probably need to change out the semiconductors. The parts are STK392-110. There are two of them, one for horizontal and one for vertical. Search it online more.
I dont understand the question. Please ask in plain english whats not working and why its not or how it started not to work please!! Whats deleted from the menu and not there??explain rainbow effect as does it move up and down the screen or side by side or sits there and looks like red green and blue lines??
