If the phone is really a K1, then it will never work on Verizon. The K1 is a quad-band GSM handset, and Verizon use CDMA. The CDMA version of the K1 is called a K1m, is slighly wider and has rewind / play / fast forward controls on the top of the filp.

Very sorry but a verizon phone, like the K1m you have (K1 cannot be Verizon) will not work on Cellular One. Cellular One uses GSM and only AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. services that use SIM cards would be workable.

Verizon and Sprint use a technology called CDMA and their phones do not take a SIM card. No phone from Verizon or Sprint would work with a GSM service like Cellular One, or Dobson, AT&T, etc.

Changing towers

The only way to change to a different tower is to change phone AT&T carrier to Verizon carrier. The unlock code is your password. There is no unlock code to change towers. You have to cancel service at AT&T and start service at Verizon.

How to use a verizon 4G LTE phne with another carrier

You probably cannot. Most phones need to be unlocked, which is a whole different can of worms. And probably this one will not work in the 4G mode with another carrier.

How do I use my verizon phone after contract with another carrier in the USA?

First you need to make sure that the cell phone is unlocked, if is not you need to request the unlock code from Verizon.
Second make sure that the company you are moving to uses the same wireless spectrum as Verizon.
Third they can test if the phone works with the carrier you chose by using a test simm card.

Hi,

To unlock your mobile you need to get network unlock code(NUC) from current service provider via phone or go to service provider office.

While you get the Network unlock code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only.If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the network unlock code.

Thanx

I want to unlock my new blackberry 9530 from verizon

You'll first need to obtain the IMEI or ESN (both basically mean serial number, but depending upon who the carrier is, it will have a different name). You can do this by removing the battery and looking at the sticker located on the back of the phone. There will be several numbers on this sticker, but only one labeled an IMEI or ESN.

Next, contact the provider/carrier the phone is locked to currently. You'll see their name or logo on the phone somewhere. Some common ones are AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Provide them the IMEI or ESN and they will provide you with the unlocking code as well as HOW to put in the code since all phones are different.

Hope this helps! :)
