Xbox-360 wireless controller doesn't sync at all

I bought a used xbox 360 (60Gb), one wireless controller was packaged with it and I bought a second used wireless controller to go with the package. One controller works fine, connects and sync's with the console, but the other one only flashes to sync and eventually 4 green lights flash consistently. How do I troubleshoot that? Or how can I get it to connect?

I went to turn on my xbox wireless drum kit and the light just came on for a second and then went out so i replaced the batteries, several times but it still wont come on

Well you can try this solution to get it too work. The thing with the XBOX 360 is that it has a hard time syncing with other controllers made by different companies. So try these steps first and see if they work if not you might have got a set of bad drums.
Step 1. Turn on XBOX 360 Step 2. Turn on drums (hold xbox button on drums). Step 3. Press sync button on 360 (XBOX ligh on console should start circling Step 4. Press sync button on drums [under D pad] (xbox light on drums should start circling)
If this doesn't work then you should RMA the drums to http://rockbandservice.ea.com to replace the bad ones.

The second wireless controller for my XBOX 360 isn't getting picked up by the machine. What do I need to do?

I assume this is the one you bought separate. Well the problem is that you need to sync it. To sync it First you must Press and hold the tiny button in the front of the xbox next to the sd card slots for about 2 seconds. Then look at your controller and on the top of the controller next to the battery pack there is a tiny button similar to the one on the xbox. Press and hold until it flashes. then your controller should work.

My second wireless controller for my xbox360 wont work.

You still have to hit the sync button on the controller and on the console to marry them. Just like when you first got the console. Just hit the small round button on the console that is between the memory card slot 2 and the power button, and the sync button on the top of your controller. The lights on both will spin then lock. They will be married and you will see the controller 2 light on on your ring.

Unable to connect xbox 360 to Guitar HeroWT Wireless Drums/Guitar

pmac92,
Did you sync your guitar and drums first? They are just like a normal xbox 360 wireless controller, you need to sync them.

Wireless XBox controller won't sync with the PC adapter

I finally found a solution that works for me (most of the time). I bought a USB hub (un-powered at the moment) and the problem seems to have disappeared. The Hub however isn't the solution. Running the controller or the hub from the rear motherboard ports is.
I was initially using the 360 wireless receiver from the front ports on the PC which are driven by a different circuit on the motherboard than those from the rear of the PC.
When the receiver is run from the rear ports or in my case a hub powered from the rear ports it works most of the time.
Ocassionally the receiver doesn't link with the 360 controller however unlike last time when pressing all kind of combinations of re-sync buttons did nothing, all I do now is press the very tiny white button on the front of the controller and it links up like it should within 1.5 seconds.
I hope this helps guys as the controller is great when working.
Cheers

Xbox 360 wireless controller not connecting.

it sounds like your controller keeps losing sync with the 360.

- turn them both off
- turn on the 360 with the power button on the console
- wait for it to start up, then press the sync button next to the usb flap on front.
- then press the sync button on the controller (by the recharge connection slot)

That should reset it.
