NEXT TIME IT SHUTS DOWN: when green light goes out on THE FRONT OF THE SET: press and hold BOTH the menu and input buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both.

This is the self check this model has---power light should blink a two digit code---for example--two blinks, a pause and two blinks and the set will repeat the error code about 10 times.

1 blinks and then 2 blinks is NO ERROR DETECTED
2 blinks and then 2 blinks is short protect

ETC.....Let me know if you get an error code and I will tell you what the problem is---hope you find 2,2 that is the most common and the most easy to repair.

2,2 means most likely one of the two fuses that protect the convergence chip is blown---this model uses a single STK-393-110 CHIP--you need to replace it and the fuse or fuses blown and adjust the set.

Can you do this if I get step by step start to finish instructions to you?

I cannot post MY email address here but you...........

let me know if you want the instructions and how to send them to you.

Directional keeps blinking

I would have to conclude that the turn signal switch is faulty or some wires may be melted together near the area that keep the directional side powered up.I am sure your turn signal lever is going back to the stop position?

Unit was on battery power, shut down, connected to 12v p/s,let charge for a short while, then powered unit up, load bar completes but goes no farther.

MANUAL REBOOT TIME:

Plug unit in 110 power, then turn it off. You are going to manually reboot system. When unit is completely off, then turn on, but this time, when turn it on keep the on button fully depressed, do not let go regardless as the unit is turning on, and even when it is coming on going through its thing, keep on button depressed for 10 seconds after unit fires up. Then let go, and this is manually rebooting it, See if now it functions properly, Please let me know, and if fixed, then the 4 thumbs up for my solution with small comment is most appreciated. When we turn off power at powerpoint each night (safety first) on restart we need to go thru the whole gambit of channel searchs ( Dig & Ana) is there a way to save settings when turning off power...

If you keep turning off the power bar that supplies the tv each night, then this will continue to happen.

The tv requires that trickle of standby power to keep all the settings in its internal memory.

If you really think that you need to keep disconnecting the power completely rather than just turning off the tv normally, then I'm afraid that is the inconvenient price you will have to pay for that questionable iota of extra safety.

Best of luck.

Keeps blinking. I've shut it off, and cancelled all print jobs - even unplugged it. Keeps blinking. Says there is an operator error

Try this:

1. Turn off printer (use button, don't unplug)
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.

If this not help may the print head is defective.

JVC KD LHX552. When you turn evey thing seems ok. but then the sound keeps going up and down. and the voice keeps going ai all langaues. even whe you turn the car off it doesnt stop. have you any ideas on...

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "the sound keeps going up and down and the voice keeps going ai all languates..."

But as far as when you turn the car off and the unit doesn't turn off...

It sounds like you're tapped directly into the battery power and not to the vehicle's switched fuse box.

You should take at your vehicle's owner's manual and find out where the "Aux power" is located (or purchase a compatible adapter wiring harnes kit so that you can plug the cabling directly into your stock wiring harneses).

With a head unit, you don't need direct battery power (just accessory power). Only Amplifiers need a direct link to the battery through a large capacity cable. Amplifiers require the use of an "Amp Control" cable (typically blue or blue with white stripe) that tells the Amp when to shut off.

If you're tapped directly to the batter (not to "Accessory" power) then you KD LHX552 doesn't know that you've turned the ignition off. Re-routing power to an accessory (or Aux) lead in your vehicle's fuse box should fix the issue.

It might even fix you're "unexpected" performance from the device.
