My compaq pc cleaned out cant find my disk for lexmark x1185

I think that's your LCD monitor that you were mentioning above. When you start your computer what do you see on the start up screen, does it say Windows XP or Windows Vista?

lower left under drivers and downloads.. click printer drivers and software...in the search by model box type.. lexmark x1185 ..... download. if you need a manual you can download it under publications.
