Installation Instructions1. Click the Download only button. 2. Click the Run button to begin the download. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the installation process. 4. Click Finish. 5. Click This program installed correctly. 6. To run the utility, click Start (or hit Ctrl+Esc or hit Windows key on your keyboard), All Programs, HP, HP Print Diagnostic Utility. 7. Follow the on-screen instructions. 8. If the issue continues, turn your printer on and off, disconnect and reconnect the printer cable from the computer and the printer, and restart the computer. 9. After the computer has restarted, please cancel any pending print jobs, if prompted.

If you tried to print on a transparency sheet for ink jet printers, in your laser printer, you could have damaged the heating rolls. The plastic could be molten on the roll and you won't be able to remove it without damaging the roll. As long as there is just a spec of plastic on the roll you will have paper jams. There should be transparency sheets for laser printers to, but always make sure you have those before using in a laser printer.

Hi,

You can send the Word document as Fax from Your PC to Printer

Open the document and Click File menu and Click Print option
Choose the HP Officejet 6110 series Fax ( not the regular printer icon )
Click Print Button

You will find a cover page to enter the fax details
Enter the details and click SEND FAX button - the Printer will start dialing the # to send Fax ( word document )

Officejet 6110- do display/needs attention light on continuously
try this
turn on/off, unplug, plug in, should reset configs. might have to do this a coupe of times

go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.

I have a laptop which is wireless and a desktop that is hardwired
If the HP 6110xi is directly connected to the Desktop Computer, then on the desktop in the control panel and under printers and faxes, find your printer and right click on it and choose sharing.
Choose share this printer and give it a short name with no spaces. You should see a hand in the icon now. Giving the network a little time, the laptop should pickup the shared printer.
