You must be Canadian?

F11 means that the controller thinks there is a stuck key on the keypad, which may or may not be the cause.

You might try pushing each button several times, then the clear button to see if you can unstick it.

Sometimes this is caused by a failure in the oven controller itself (but more often the keypad).

We repair oven controllers if it comes down to that.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

F11 error code

I appreciate the post, dan moore!

From the information you have provided your Frigidaire range is displaying an "F11" error code. Typically, the "F11" error code stands for a shorted keypad. This could be a false error code and the best way to clear any false error codes is to disconnect power from the range for at least ten minutes. If you continue to get an "F11" error code you may need to replace your EOC (Electronic Oven Control), I would recommend having a professional technician come out to properly replace any electrical component to avoid personal injury. Hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

I continue to get code F11 on my Kenmore Elite Gas Range Oven and therefore, I am unable to unlock / open my oven door. I have pressed and held down the STOP button as well as the oven light button.

Your model number should be much longer than 790 30 Open drawers and doors to look for the whole model number around the frame.

With the whole model number you can get more information at Sears Parts Direct. There are parts diagrams and user manuals and you can order parts.

This site gives instructions for repairing F11 and recommends checking the temperature probe and tells how to do it.

F11 error code

Thank you for your post, Friend.

If you are receiving an error code F11 on your Frigidaire range, it typically indicates that your range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about ten minutes. If the error code persists, at this moment I would suggest connecting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) or RTD Probe (Resistance Temperature Detector) will need replacing. I hope this information helps to some degree. - Z

I have a fridgidaire PLGF290DC and got an error code F11. I was able to unplug for about 10 minutes and it re-set. What just happened?

F11= Temp Sensor Failure

The part that has to be replaced is the sensor located in the oven.

Its the part that looks like a metal small rod sticking out from the oven back wall.

Here is the part to order.

Frigidaire oven won't work. top range works fine, but digital clock and digital display stopped working which works oven, so oven also will not work f11 code

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

It show F11 Error code

Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire freestanding gas range showing an F11 error code. F11 means your appliance has detected a Shorted Key, which could also be a key that has been detected as pressed for a long period of time. This will terminate all oven activity. What you can do is to press the "Clear" key and if that does not work you will want to give your range a hard reset. You can do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes.

After restoring power you will need to reset the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and pressing start.

Turn the oven on and if you are still receiving the F11 error code, I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or contacting your local authorized technician to diagnose your appliance. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-

Frigidaire f11 error

I suggest to try unplugging the device from power socket 5 minutes and reconnect. If the error goes away, then well and good; if not, you may have to replace the panel control.

Failure Code: F10 / F11 / F12 / F13

Condition:
- Runaway Temperature.
- Shorted Keypad.
- Bad Micro Identification.
- Bad EEPROM Identification/Checksum error.

Check/Repair:
1. (F10 only) Check *RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive.
2. (F11, 12 & 13) Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power.
3. (F11, 12 & 13) If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Oven does not work f3 in the screen

Oven control beeps and displays any F code
error (for example F11).

Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press CLEAR/OFF to clear the display
and stop beeping. Reprogram oven. If fault recurs, record fault number. Press CLEAR/
OFF and call your dealer or authorized service agent for assistance.
