Power comes on, but lens does not open

When I turn on sony cyber-shot camera I get a Problem with the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W35 Digital Camera when I turn on sony cyber-shot camera I get a screen display that states "access". The lens keeps going in and out and then it states,"turn the power off and on again" What's wrong??

it is just because there is something which is moved from within. . may be due to a fall or a hit. . so that thing is obstructing ur lens and the lens cant close. . so u will have to get it opened by an authorized service man and it will be done. . no other option. .

generally,allienment of the lens unit ,failure of the sensorsof the lens unit with the mother board,and also proper functioning failure of the lens unit.

Its problem in lens.There is one part its called sensor it fix on lens it need to be clean.After cleaning your camera will work properly & there will no massage Turn the power off and on again

Hello samtx930, "turn off the power and on again" its a very commen problem and occurs when the lens block assembly start malfunctioning. Actually the slide motor not work properly and until the lens not come out completely the camera will not work, that's why the error message appears "Access" and then screen shows "turn off the power and on again". In this situation you have to replace lens block assembly.And the part No. is with description is given below: 1-788-363-11 OPTICS UNIT (ED13A) Thanks for using fixya.

You have a bad lens, it prob. also says turn off and on again.

I have to agree with one of the comments previously posted. I too had a Sony DCS-S700 and the lens was stuck open. Whenever I turned the camera on, the Sony Cybershot logo appeared and dissappeared, turning the camera off. I noticed the lens was crooked, so I moved it in the center direction and the camera worked again.

Never buy SONY dsc-t300 again
