Leaks when the washergoes into the spin cycle.

Maybe the spin is touuching the body

Remove the front bottom kick plate to see where it is leaking from.

drain is not working properly so that only spin is not starting

SOUNDS LIKE YOU MIGHT HAVE A WORN OUT DRAIN PUMP, YOU WILL HAVE TO OPEN IT TO DO A VISUAL CHECK ON IT,

HOW OLD IS THE UNIT? IF ITS 10+ YEARS ITS PROBABLY THE TRANSMISSION.

If the machine is leaking then the bolt on the drum need to be tightened. you can acces them by removing the top or rear cover of the machine. If the machine is wobbling it need to be leveled or a shock absorber or spring connected to the drum has come loose or needs to be replaced

1 option is to wind the back feet out so the washer drum will sit more to the front so as it less likly to hit the OOB switch, other thing is that the OOB switch might have corrosion on the inside of it and in this case if it gets moisture inside it during a wash it is more likely to go OOB, so try replacing it this should fix issue, if not replace Motor Control Unit. :)

it only does it on the small load? does the water drain out before it goes into spin?

It sounds like it could be the lid switch, check to make sure the lid switch is clicking when you close the lid.

are you sure it only happens in the spin cycle? and is the leak comming from the bottom front of the washer? most front laoders will leak due to a tear in the belows. that is the rubber boot that seals the washer tub to the front panel. if there was a hole or a tear in the bellows it should have a leak inthe wash cycle also. but there are also other possibilitys too.but its strange to only leak in a spin cycle due to the washer is extracting the water and not adding it. so check and see if it leaks in the wash cycle to and get back to me and we can go from there. looking through my training manual i dont see what could cause a leak in just the spin cycle
