Speakers 2.0 durabrand not registering
If both sets work on one computer, but none of them work on the problem machine, then it's not the speakers that are at fault, but rather the computer you're plugging them into.
As you are getting a "No Audio Devices" message, and the speakers get their signal from your systems soundcard, the soundcard drivers may not be installed, or working properly (the USB plug, it seems, only serves to power the speakers, nothing else).
Open up Device Manager, and look for your soundcard, and/or any devices marked with a Question (?) or Exclamation (!) Mark. Install/reinstall the drivers for any of these that you see. If you don't see anything marked as such, locate your soundcard under the "Sound and Audio devices" header, and reinstall it.
(NOTE: You can get to device manager in Windows XP, by going to Start-> Run -> type in "Control", and press ENTER. From the window that pops up, make sure you're using Classic View, then go to System -> Hardware -> Device Manager.)
If you DON'T, however, see either unknown devices or your soundcard listed in Sounds and Audio Devices, reseat your soundcard in it's PCI slot or a different slot in your machine, boot up your computer, and see if it's recognized. if it isn't, or if you're using an onboard sound solution, you may have to replace your soundcard, as it's defective.
Hope this helps :~)
