Need a red bulb for Zenith PVR5263RK rear projection tv
We have a Zenith PVR5263RK rear projection tv. The green and blue bulbs are working but the red one is not. Where do we find a replacement bulb to fix this??

It sounds like your looking for a CRT (red) the part # is on the CRT and could be puchased through any Zenith (LG) distributer- usually around $300- $500. Google the part # when you get it and you may find a used Picture Tube (CRT)for cheaper.

This is a CRT(cathode ray tube) not a bulb. A Bulb is totally different. If you replace one Tube, you need to replace all 3 or the colors will never match properly. However, This model no longer has parts available. Even if they were, the cost would be close to $1000 in parts. I would not recommend repairing this TV.
Your problem sounds like the projection bulb is going bad. It is the main problem with projection TV's, and is usually very spendy. I would recommend calling Zenith and request a new bulb.
No, it is convergence problem due to convergence output chips failure in rear projection tv. Local tv repairman will fix it because it requires soldering work to replace bad chips in circuit board. Thanks.
Yes,u still can hear sound,if the projection bulb is dead. The Ballast board might also dead dead too.The Balllast board help to ignite the projection bulb.
It could be that the picture tubes have gone down on emission, there is a prcedure that can be tried to bring up the overall brightness but it is just possible that you will loose some picture quality. If it's a 1994 projo tv i am thinking of the three crt system, a gray scale alignment would probably correct the dark condition in your picture, again depending on how far gone is the emission in your picture tubes, if your projo tv is the dlp system, the bad news is that you could be needing some light engine repair. The color adjustment is possible with the availability of a service manual or in the case of the dlp system, light engine repairs or replacement are available from some on line stores.
You can find a new OEM Sony replacement CRT's (red, green, and blue bulbs) for a model # KP51HW40 from a major Sony distributor at the following links:
It might be the the socket board on this model not the crt tube. Closely look at each tube these tubes end up contaminated. They start looking like lemonade inside. Usually the blue and green, with the tv off see if the green and blue are as clear as the red with a flashlight. You might want to call a service center. Cheaper in the long run over the cost of a tube.
The huge yellow circle is either your blue filter is burnt out (very common in Zenith DLP) or you LCD cube is bad. I would bet it is the blue filter. Zeniths DLPs have 3 color filters one blue (a pinkish color), one green (a grayish brown)and one red (it is red). For the bulb indicator I would check and make sure your lamp is seated to the ballast correctly. Just take it out and put it back in.
is the red gone on all inputs? do you have the tv hooked up, to a sat box, cable box via component video (Red, blue, green connections)? if so check the red cable on both ends.
