Couple of ideas: If you don't get water at all first check to see if the shut-off valves are open. If so, close them and remove and clean the cartridge. If water comes from the spout and not the shower head, make sure the diverter (the handle on the tub spout) moves up when you pull it. If that works, remove and clean the shower head since there might be debris blocking the water flow. Without
more info this is my best guess.
I bought a shower head at Walmart and drilled the baffle out of the end that connects to the water pipe increasing the water flow dramatically. Now, I cant keep the kids out of our shower! If you are not that adventurous, this link may help:
The pipe that the shower haed attaches to is just a chrome plated brass nipple. On the shower head, there should be either a hex type looking nut or, two flat spots where you can puy a pair of channel locks or pipe wrench on to turn off counter clockwise. The"nut", so to speak, will be a part of the shower head. Sometimes, the nipple will want to turn also. In this caes, you will need a second pair of channel locks to grasp the nipple. You may want to put a rag on the nipple, because the teeth of the channel locks may hurt the finish. Once you have the old shower head off, turn your water on and let it run for a couple of seconds to clear any debris out of the line. If you don't you may clog the new shower head with the junk in the lines. Turn off water apply teflon tape or thread sealant, if desired and screw the new head on clock wise. It shouldn't need to be overtightened.
This unit will allow the function of the shower head or the hand held shower individually. You can make both operate at the same time but the performance will be dismall at best.
just replace your shower arm that is what the shower head is connected to make sure you use teflon tape around the threads on each end of the shower arm that should do the trick
for some reason the cartridge set up does a sporadic drip which is infuriating but replacing the insert will not fix it
after the cartridge there is just an empty hose to the shower head and no pressure
