Hi all. I have a Bosch Maxx 1200 which is filling but cycle won't start and drum wont spin. Timer can be heard clicking but cycle doesn't start. It drains okay but is very noisy and pump has been checked for any foreign objects. Please help!

Could be a damaged or defective pump. The timer is clicking and trying to start normal operation but is sensing the pump problem.

Unless you jarred the machine it's the timer. You can check this by bypassing the lid switch and seeing if it will cycle.

We had similar problem, with the spin cycle not working. We opened the 'drain' pipe (front-right bottom side). It was full of lime scale; never been opened for years. We cleaned it up and the spin cycle is now working.

Possibly a blocked filter or pump.
Ths filter should be at the bottom right front of washer, sometimes behind a removeable cover at the bottom of washer.
To clean it, unscrew anti-clockwise, remove and clean.

you cannot you can try manually turning switch so it does its last rinse and spin and weight untill light goes off there is a switch inside the m/c when the water gets to a sertain level the door will not open for obvious reasons hope this helps ivan uk

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. Probably a blocked empty pump filter. Spin won't kick in until all the water is evacuated. If there is a little left, the machine will do the slow turn cycle that it does just before spin starts but not start the spin cycle because of the water in the drum.

You need to locate the filter and clean it. That should fix your problem. Once this is done, remember to keep the filter clean every few months

Make sure there is no water in drum.
Remove and clean pump filter, this is usually located at the bottom front right of washer, behind drop down cover.
Unscrew anti- clockwise to remove and clean.

Bosch Classixx 1200 - Drum not turning

It could be the motor itself (is there any overheating smell from the motor) or it could be the capacitor which controls the motor. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be the motor brushes. I replaced the brushes and all was OK.
The only other thing that could be wrong especially if it overfills with water is the water level switch (this is a pressure switch on the side of the washer) You can easily check this by removing the hosepipe to the switch and blow gently into it, you should hear a clicking sound) This might be the clicking that you heard so it is probably Ok.

it will fill but won,t spin, will throw out water as if it washed, then it take water to rinse but won,t spin ,then will throw out water as if it did , but clothes are soaked
