Having a colonoscopy and have to take 4 tablets in the 'evening' so what is the best time to take them please

don't plan on sleeping. just follow the directions on the container - suggest taking them before 9 pm - but your doctor should be able to tell you clearly.

How do veterinarians put a pet to sleep?

First a gentle sedative is administered in such a way that they will barely notice. There is no pain or distress during this or at any time during the procedure, your pet simply drifts into a peaceful sleep. The next stage of the process involves giving the animal an anaesthetic agent that causes their heart to slow and stop. They will pass away quickly after the injection has been administered. Very occasionally, as the animal slips into unconsciousness, they will seem to take a deep breath or exhale loudly and there are sometimes involuntary muscle twitches as the body shuts down. This is perfectly natural and is not a sign that anything has gone wrong nor that your pets feels any pain.

Do some patients have pain with laser iridotomy

Maybe but it is a very rare symptom and if occured it happens after the fade out of the sedation; during the operation you will feel nothing... My father had both of his eyes operated on: the left one had no pain but the right one had a bit; Anyway the symptoms fade away really quick don't worry and be typical with the after-surgery guidance for the next 1-2months; your doctor will tell you :)

I take 5mg of endone with 2 panadol at night to sleep.does endone cuse side effects

Endone (oxycodone) is a strong sedative analgesic. Listed side effects may include (but not necessarily)
dizziness
drowsiness (don't drive or operate machinery)
low blood pressure
constipation
nausea
vomiting

You should only take other pain relievers with Endone under medical supervision. A special no-no with oxycodone is alcohol, so avoid that.

Endep or Amitriptyline is an antidepressant medication used to elevate the mood of people suffering from depression. It is also used as a sedative to help people sleep. Alcohol is a depressant. Alcohol will block the effects of the anti-depressant actions of the drug and increase the sedative actions of the drug.

Are you allowed to mix alcohol and sleeping pills?

NO! It is really dangerous to mix alcohol and sleeping pills because it increases the sedative effect and it can be fatal. Many accidental overdose cases have happened with this combination.

Is there something I can change about my sleeping position to reduce my back pain?

Different Sleeping Position has a different effect on the human body according to Orthopedic Doctor of Bangalore:https://www.lybrate.com/bangalore/orthopedist
Sleeping on your back

If you sleep on your back, place a pillow under your knees to help maintain the normal curve of your lower back. You might try a small, rolled towel under the small of your back for additional support. Support your neck with a pillow.

Sleeping on your stomach

Sleeping on your stomach can be ******* your back. If you can't sleep any other way, reduce the strain on your back by placing a pillow under your pelvis and lower abdomen. Use a pillow under your head if it doesn't place too much strain on your back. If it does cause strain, try sleeping without a pillow under your head.

Sleeping on your side

By making simple changes in your sleeping position, you can take strain off your back. If you sleep on your side, draw your legs up slightly toward your chest and put a pillow between your legs. Use a full-length body pillow if you prefer.

Do you get put to sleep when you have corrective eye laser surgery? I am really worried about freaking out if I have to stay awake.

Anesthesia is not necessary for eye surgery which is just a quick procedure. If you are very anxious, you can take some oral sedation just to relax you but you need to be awake during the process.

I have trouble sleeping and take sedatives to help me fall asleep but my wife says that I snore more when I take a sedative. Is that true?

: Your wife is actually right. Sedatives and alcohol have the same effect; they depress your central nervous system which relaxes your muscles and the tissues in your throat. The tissues then block the airways more and lead to snoring. So you either need to find an alternative to your sleeping problems or try and solve the snoring issue.

Good luck.

I am having some difficulties going to sleep after long flights, what should I do?

Try to establish sleeping patterns without pills. If you steel have difficulty sleeping on the first two or three nights, you can use mild sedative to help you out. You should wean yourself off the sedative as soon as possible. Otherwise, it could become habit-forming.
