Expensive if bought from the item manufacturer as a spare part

Google search "replacement battery for coma solar powered led motion sensor light model no. 052-7808-4 might produce results.

Most battery packs are fairly standard but first you need to remove it in order to identify it - voltage, type, capacity in order to search further or to wade through the huge list on sites such as ebay.

SOURCE: 6-pack solar LED landscape lights don't shed any light!

I am having the same problem, but am going to try putting in new rechargeable batteries. If you take the lights apart, you should find a rechargeable AA battery. I'm going to try it tonight and will let you know if it works.

SOURCE: Westinghouse Solar sensor issue

Put a small piece of black tape over half the sensor. This will make it more sensitive to light conditions.

SOURCE: I purchased hampton bay 4 pack solar led landscape

Sun burns out the photocell in lights. Hampton Bay uses cheap components in their Fans and Lighting all made in China for a fraction of what you paid. Dont waste time calling gpwarranty.com they dont care.
Best option..buy a good set and dont buy them from Home Depot, Hampton Bays primary retailer, sort of voting with your wallet.

Motion LED solar light gets dim

Generally these lights have a rechargeable NMHI battery inside. This does not appear to be charging. Dismantle and replace the battery with another rechargeable of the same type and rating.

I did not get a 6V NiCd battery pack with my 60 led solar security light! how do I get one?

You might be able to make your own by picking up 2 lithium ion batteries at home depot. I only saw the Hampton bay solar cells there.

Why is the LED light completely off after the walk test and lockout time?

Yes, it works normally. Things have evolved in the technology of security systems and now it is standard to have any LED turned off on any motion detector (the LED's are now used for walk-testing only), the standard DSC and Honeywell wireless motions also do the same thing.

  • This is a normal function for your motion detector. It's also a great power saving function since most of the current draw on the batteries is when it's transmitting a detection signal so if you're home and moving around it will only transmit every few minutes instead of every second, saving on battery life significantly (up to 5 years on average) but after the 3-minute lockout the passive infrared scans continuously until it transmits another motion signal.
Reason: most burglaries are done by someone who has been there before, if they see the LED then they know the motion will catch them moving in that given spot, then they can "map-out" where it's safe to walk (where the LED doesn't light up) for when they plan to return for a robbery.

You can also make this device "more sensitive" by moving the jumper pin position by the right side battery and having the back mounting plate mounted using the bottom screw presets so it faces slightly downward instead of straight forward.

Helpful tip: Change the batteries every 4 years if you're using Alkaline (dead or not) since the detector was engineered "too energy efficient" and the batteries actually leak and corrode the interior PCB at about the 5-year point on about 15% of the detectors with factory original duracell batteries (from what I've experienced in field service).

How do i operate smart solar lights?

Place the solar panel in a sunny spot to charge the batteries. If the lights do not come on at night, the panel's light sensor may be seeing other light sources and needs to be moved. The light sensor looks like a small white circle with a wavy line across it. They are usually visible and located in the solar panel. Make sure it is in the dark at night, or it will not come on. You can cover the light sensor to test that the lights are working.

Microwave oven activates LED motion light

All electrical and electronic systems give off some amount of radio signals as noise. You might have heard a light switch 'click' on the radio before. It's nothing to worry about, the problem is simply that the sensor is just that, a sensor: and its very close to the microwave - it's probably being set off because its so very close. A microwave uses VERY high power radio waves in a closed metal box to heat things up, thats how they work.
Either move it away, or ignore it. You can try setting the microwave on a very low power level and see if it still happens to confirm this theory.

Outdoor umbrella with solar leds with switch, doesn't turn on

If you connect to solar panel for the lights to go on do the lights go out at night? If so, and the they do not light when hooked to the batteries then the batteries may have no charge and may also not be holding a charge. Put in new batteries to test.

I would like to rewire a solar security light (motion activated) to stay on at dark. Brand westinghouse

The light will only stay on as long as the battery lasts. My guess is that will not last all night. What you can do is buy a light sensor switch (or even a light sensor socket adaptor is available to save you from having to wire it in) to keep a light on during the night. You can use a CFL or even an LED lamp to save electricity, but it is unlikely that a solar-charged cell will power even one of thes all night long.
