Water remains in tub after cycle is finished. It can not be seen as it is below the tub but you can hear it sloshing around as it stops. The tub has a bad odor and I have poured bleach in it and let it sit for awhile, fill tub and then spin it out. Tub smells better after that. Problem is that I know that if I don't do this after every wash that the old dirty/smelly water is mixed in with each new load. Is this normal?
Hi, a small amount of water in the tub is normal, between the inner and outer drum. As long as it's below the inner drum you're ok. If it's a front load this is a common smell. Just make sure you dry the rubber seal and leave the door open a little to allow air to circulate through the washer.
Have you tried to clean the drain hose on the back of the washer? It may have build up inside that you are loosening up by using bleach.
Hey friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
It is normal to have water in the tub after your Frigidaire washer has completed the final spin cycle. The water that is in the tub is there to help prime the pump. Hope this information is helpful. -Matt

how old is the washer? there is a pump that should take all the water away after it spins; sometimes it sits there a makes a noise; that is the pump taking the water out. Does it sit there a make a noise and you think it may be stuck or does it just shut off and is finished?
