Have you tried putting the machine on a boil wash, with just bleach in the water ( and no clothes)? That should work, but it the door seal is discoloured by the mould, then the only practical solution is to replace the door seal.
I hope this helps?

SOURCE: Zanussi front load washer door seal

Keeping the door open after your wash would help in keeping the interior dry. Do not push the door shut, just leave slightly open. Only before you begin your wash, check to see your cat is not inside.

SOURCE: black mould round door seal

There are several reasons for this to happen.
the primary one is the fact that you are doing a lot of low temp washes, and this causes a build up of grease and dirt around the door seal, the mould you refer to is actually bacteria.
You must do a high temp wash at least once every 6 to 8 weeks, put powder and or detergent in as usual, but no washing, and let it do a full cycle.
This is called a maintenance wash and helps prevent what has happened to your m/c.
Thoroughly clean the door seal with a scouring pad or stainless steel wool, you will not harm the seal,
You will probably find the seal will be stained, but as long as you get all the mould etc off, it will be o/k.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks

SOURCE: mouldy door seal on hotpoint ultima 14 months old

Like Maytags Neptune they had to change seal and door design to avoid mold and rust from water holding at seal, and check with your local dealer you should be under warranty still. And jack is correct, tooth brush with toothpaste or baking soda , Good Luck

SOURCE: door seal

Rule 1: BEFORE YOU START Turn off the mains, unplug at the wall, turn off the water supply.

The gasket is held in place on the drum by a large sprung wire ring with a screw tighten/release. To access this (Depending on the model), you will either have to go in from the top or the bottom of the machine. Usually the top.

Pull the machine out, go to the back and unscrew, usually 2 screws that hold the "Work top surface" top on the machine at the back. There are usually clips at the front of the top, so by lifting the rear clear and either pulling the top back, or giving it a tap forward, depending on the design, the top should now lift off.

You should now be able to look down at the drum and you should clearly see the rubber gasket fitted over the edge of the drum with the clip in place. Locate the screw in tensioner and undo it until ot is possible to slip it forward and clear of the drum. You should now be able to simply pull the gasket away from the drum. Most machines rely on the door being closed to hold the gasket in place where it meets the chassis, it should just pull off if the door is open, but while you are lookiing inside, just check anyway. The assembly is simply a reverse of what is described above.

Stuff to consider: You may not be able to see the screw clip from the top, if so, tip the machine back and look from underneath. If you have to do this: Never tip the machine all the way onto its back, you may cause a water leak inside the machine. ALWAYS tip BACKWARDS, so the control panel for the machine is pointing up to avoid water getting to the control panel. I would recommend putting a chair behind the machine as you tip it, so the top back of the machine comes to rest on the seat and the machine is at about 45 degrees. this will give you access to underneath without a leak and make is a lot easier to tip it back on to its feet again afterwards.

SOURCE: How do you clean the mould build up off the

Bleach:Water solution 1:2 should kill the mould effectively.

What they should have told you when you bought this machine and what it almost certainly says in the owners manual is that front-loading washing machines, all brands, are prone to this problem. You must wipe the rubber gasket/door seal off when done using. Every time.

Dumb, I know, but necessary.

The grey rubber door seal in our Electrolux EW1080 F has lots of black mould trapped inside it. Is there any way to remove the entire seal to clean it or do you just have to try your best to wipe around...

Don't use eucalyptus oil, because it will damage the rubber, and the smell will linger.
The black mould should be wiped off using a damp soft cloth and mild detergent. Diluted bleach (1 part in 10 parts cold water) can also be used, with care (wear gloves); don't use full-strength bleach, because it can damage rubber and corrode metal. Leave the door and detergent drawer open between washes and overnight to keep air circulating through the machine. This will slow down the regrowth of mould. For further improvement, wipe the seal dry after each use of the machine. If your laundry room remains steamy or damp for hours after washing, improve the ventilation
