You have a switch for drain if no water coming then try to push water in to get any dirt out

  • emfeller Jul 17, 2011

This worked for us. The first time we used a filter to pour water into the drain filter as suggested but this wasn't enough to help. We actually took off the back panel and poured water into the water tray to fully clean and drain. Works fine now!

What is the red light that flashes and won't let it come on

Hello. Surprisingly, I had that very problem happen to me with my Haier AC this morning. The machine is telling you that your 'drip pan' is full. If the A/C kept running it would overflow the drip pan and will get the water all over your floor. Very easy solution. In the back center of your machine just above the floor is a black plug. When you pull the plug out, water will come out, so before you do so, get a shallow pan (I used a lunch tray) and put it underneath. The plug isnt threaded, just pull and twist to get it out. The amount of water that will come out is significant but doesnt come close to filling a lunch tray. Once drained just put the plug back in securely and turn on your AC and you're good to go.

There is a loud swooshing sound, we think from water that got in. Is there a plug to drain it somewhere?

I had a similar swooshing sound under the vehicle on a '90 4 runner. Turned out to be water trapped in the running boards. Removed rubber plugs, water drained out, swooshing was gone.

How do you drain water from a LP1010snr air conditioner?

P2 means the water collection tank is full and needs to be drained. You have to pull the drain plug at the bottom of the unit and drain the water.
Drain the water (small amount actually) in the shower. Note: There is a cap towards the bottom of the unit that you will need to unscrew, then pull out the rubber plug. Fired up the unit after the water drain ... it worked fine.

I purchased and LG Model# LP1010SNR on 8-3-10 at Home Depot. It was a floor model and did not come with an owners manual. It has a digital display screen. It is intended to run for several hours at a time...

What happens on this unit is it will suddenly stop followed by a series of chimes. You can reset the unit, but it will end with the same set of chimes. My unit display had a P2 code. As mentioned above, I drained the water (small amount actually) in the shower. Note: There is a cap towards tha bottom of the unit that you will need to unscrew, then pull out the rubber plug. Fired up the unit after the water drain ... it worked fine. If they can make a GI Joe talk ... why can this unit simply say ... "Please Drain". P2 is so intuitive.

I have a 2002 Toyota prius. I notice there is a pool of water on the passenger side floor after driving the vehicle with the ac on for a while. How can I fix this myself?

Hello, and welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.

Yes, you can do this yourself, and save yourself the costs of a technician doing it.

What you have is a clogged AC condensate drain hose.

When the AC is on, the AC system removes moisture form the air in the cabin, and drains this moisture out onto the road surface.

What you need to do:

Open the passenger side door, and have some towels and a small bucket ready. Pull back the carpet in the passenger side footwell, and, once the carpet is pulled back, you will be looking for a small black rubber hose that goes from the heater box, and pokes thru a rubber grommet in the firewall, towards the engine. Pull the rubber hose towards you, away from the firewall grommet, and see if the outer end is plugged up with mud. If so, insert a suitable thing, like a pencil, into the end to unclog it. Be prepared for about a quart of water to drain from the hose into your small bucket.

If the water does not drain from the open end, pull the hose off totally, from the bottom of the fitting on the heater box, and runs a coathanger thru it, to release the blockage, and then flush it out with water. Note that when you remove the rubber hose from the heater box fitting, water will drain out onto your carpet. This is where you need the towels.

I hope that this helps you out, ans saves you the 70 dollars most places would charge you to clean your drain hose.

If my assistance is useful, please consider leaving a 4-thumbs rating; I'd appreciate it greatly.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance. Have a great day.

Everstar portable ac unit displaying error message P1. The unit turned itself off and will not come back on. It had no symptoms of not working well before turning off.

According to my Everstar manual, P-1 is a drainage problem.
EverStar owners manual pg. 16 -

1. Release the drain hose from the ruber clip and pull out the rubber plug, let the drain hose slant down to a water container.

2. Press the TURBO button on the unit control panel for more than 3 seconds and the WATER INDICATOR light begins flashing. It indicates the forced water drainage feature is activated.

3. Waiting until the WATER INDICATOR light stops flashing and there is no water flow.

4. After the water has drained, remember to secure the drain hose and plug in the upright position and clip it to the unit.

The unit will return to normal operation.

....I had to do this and it worked - Good luck!
