Connect powered subwoofer to system with no pre-out connector?

I want to connect a powered subwoofer to a Sony HT-DDW660 home theater system. This system has no pre-out connection, only low impedance speaker outputs. Can this be done?

You will require a Line level converter... usually reserved for car audio applications - but it should work in yours as well.

It converts the speaker wires to RCAs.

How to connect the speakers to the sb-wa342 panasonic subwoofer

I hope I understand you correctly.

As you can probably tell from the very different connector types on the subwoofer and the HTS, they don't match up. That speaker system and this electronics are not meant to be used together.

The SC-BT200 uses passive subwoofer while the SB-WA342 is an active (powered) subwoofer.

I have a subwoofer with standard speaker wire connection, how to I attach to a receiver with a subwoofer cable?

The Subwoofer is Likely Passive....meaning no amplifier is within the enclosure itself....the incompatible connectors mean you cannot connect the subwoofer itself to your surround sound system.

look for a Suitable stand-alone (1 Channel) Amplifer with sufficent power.....connect the RCA Imputs (subwoofer cable) to the Recievers RCA subwoofer output....then connect the amplifier's output to the the wire going into the subwoofer enclosure....if there is a plastic connector simply cut it off and strip the wires down a sufficent lenght....then secure the wires to the output of the amplifier.

if you do this make sure you know the ohm rating of the subwoofer and the minimum ohm rating of the amplifier your using.

How do i connect/play my turntable?

Hi sorry to say cant go direct.

What you can do if really want it running is get a RIAA pre amp with power supply (search google local shops). The turn table plugs into that, then that plugs into one of the analogue inputs of the Q70. That will work great if prepared for the effort!

Best of luck

System is samsung HT-TWZ415. all speakers work, not the sub

Check all of your connections, and make sure all cords are firmly connected.
Make sure if the subwoofer has a power switch, it is on, and if not, that it is likely to be faulty.
