Ive read the manual and does what it says. It does not go to Demo Mode when pressing the button when in Standby like the manual describes. It remains in Demo and is very annoying to have the damn thing advertise its features to me over and over again. Please help!!

I had the same problem and I called 1-800-KENWOOD. There is a button to the left of your preset station buttons and it is the menu button. It is also the B.Boost button. When in standby mode, press this Menu button and hold it for a second or so and the menu will appear. The manual conveinently left this part out. Once you hold that button you can then move the control knob up or down till it comes to DEMO and then hold the control knob down for 2 seconds to change it from DEMO mode, like the manual tells you to. They always leave out the most important part. This MENU button will be your friend from now on, and it also goes to the option that will set the clock. The people at 1-800-KENWOOD were very helpful should you need more assistance. Good luck!

On my Kenwood kdc-mp339 car cd unit unit I cannot disable the demo feature that scrolls across the led face as it says you can in the manual. Cannot get the option to disable demo , Thanks for any help

Just figured it out - you have to put the player in Standby mode (by pressing SRC till you find it) first.

Then hold down the bass boost button (as the manual says). When MENU pops up, scroll down to DEMO ON and then hold down the centre button of the conrol knob till it changes to DEMO OFF.

Turn the demo mode off on my kenwood KDC-W3037

Hi the way I fixed it was to put the unit in standby then hold in the menu button (left hand side next to control button)Then move the control button (right hand side) until you get to demo on. Then hold in the control button until it shows demo off. Job done. Also you can activate the aux settings from here to. Hope this helps Shane

Stuck in demo mode

When you are in STANDBY mode hold the menu button for a few seconds and a special menu should pop up. In this menu you should be able to set the clock, turn off or on the beep, and take your unit out of demo mode. Good luck.

Kenwood KDC-MP635 STUCK IN DEMO MODE

Turn the unit onto standby then press and hold the menu button then scroll down to demo using the toggle switch on the right then press and hold the toggle switch for a few seconds and it will change to demo off. It's not too difficult but you are correct, it doesn't tell you correctly in the installation instructions.

Kenwood demo prob...still

There is often confusion in the way the manual states how to achieve removing demo mode. Because this is listed in the "Menu System" section of the manual and assumes you read from page 1 of the manual that you will know to enter the menu in this section of the manual. Here is step by step instructions on removing demo mode on your unit. 1. Go to standby mode 2. Press and hold the menu button till the menu comes up 3. Press control knob towards AM or FM to scroll through menu till you locate "Demo On" 4. Press control knob straight in for approximately 3 seconds till it switches to "Demo Off" 5. Hit menu button again to exit menu

DEMO MODE

Enter Standby Mode by pressing SRC button Press and hold the Menu button down until MENU flashes. The word Menu will be replaced with a menu option immediately afterward. Then, use the control knob to move through the menu options by moving it up (toward FM) or down (toward AM). Move through the options until you find the Demo ON option. Press down on the control knob until it changes from DEMO ON to DEMO OFF. Then press the SRC button again to get out of Standby mode.
