Need to replace LCD monitor. where can I purchase the part

Care must be taken when removing the ribbon-cable connector from its mating half on the camera ribbon-cable.
The black strip on the mating connector has to be flipped back, away from the display ribbon, to release the display ribbon.
Then after locating the new ribbon fully home, the same black strip has to be flipped forward in the direction of the display ribbon and pressed down to clamp this connector in place. All this is shown, but quickly in the video.
Do not touch the bare surface of the new display or the inside surface of the removed display protective surface which has an optical coating which easly shows fingerprints.
Found the LCD on ebay for $15.
Broke the ribbon cable. Found the ribbon cable on procamerarepair for $75.

The LCD is most definitely consumer fixable. Not everyone can do it. But if your like me and have taken things apart because they where broken and you can turn a screwdriver. You can fix your own. Buy a genuine sony LCD screen on eBay for under $50. Search Google for A350 LCD replacement and watch the video. Save yourself about $100+ in repair cost.
However, be really careful toward the ribbon cable and the connector. These are nearly unobtainable and cost twice a LCD replacement screen.
$15 sounds fishy. For a LCD display for a A350 should at least cost twice that or more this day and time. There are two displays sold for this camera. Make sure you get the correct one. The AUO type will not work in most US model A350. They are cheap. The ribbon connector are different.

The LCD monitor is not consumer-repairable. You need to send it in for repair.

I am sorry to hear regarding this Problem. If you are good at Repairing electronics, you could Fix that. But, the Main Problem is LCD Screen. Sony Does not allow the Screen to be Sold Separately and they would charge around $125 - $150 to get the Screen Fixed.
