My 30gb video ipod won't turn on...Nothing happens!

I have a black ipod touch that i got when i sold my car, it was charged when i got it and it worked fine untill it died, it sat for few month and when i got mine ipod touch i tried to turn it on, it wouldn't turn on. When i plug it in with a cable i got with my ipod touch nothing happens, NOTHING. The screen doesn't light up, nothing, i replaced the battery, but that didn't help, any advice? `

It sounds like there's something wrong with the hard drive. You might have a dud, in which case I would call apple ASAP to see what they can do for you, but just make sure it's charged! Sometimes with electronics like this, no lights will come on or anything until it has enough battery life to support that sort of thing.. other than that, my only advice is to call a professional on this one.. sorry :/

the recharge time on a fully discharged battery is 6 to 10x the discharge time. so, if that battery was good for 2 hours, the recharge could take 12 to 20 hours..sit back and see how it goes.

The Batteries in these units like all rechargeable batteries only have a certain number of times they can be charged and discharged before begining to fail. Your only option is to replace the battery with a new one. They are cheap to purchase off eBay and YouTube has Videos detailing how to change them.

My Computer and iTunes does not recognize my iPod

put your ipod in disk mode by following these steps.
press and hold the Menu and Center buttons on the clickwheel. when you see the apple appear, switch your fingers to the center and play/pause buttons.
whena check mark appears plug it into you computer and it should detect and mount.
add music and have fun.

sorry unless you can get it to set to factory settings then your stuck id take it to a shop or trie some one ells computer if this fails then it a fixit job

i too had the same prob... try convertin those songs tat are not copied to ur ipod... try convertin them to wav or ipod to play in ur ipod,,, try manually syncin these songs,..it also happens if the audio is in a very bad quality..
