New tractor power loss on a grade, deos not develop full speed

Hello Joe

If you have an automatic or hydrostatic transmission then you have a lemon, which means once the oil heats up in your transmission it thins out and clutchs and swash plate have no grip on the drive system which is hydraulic pressure needed to hold on the shaft and axles this happens all inside the transmission you cant see it but you can tell when going up slight hills and when you have the blades engaged it crawls like a turtle get you warranty out Joe..... dont touch anything that may void your warranty..... just call service department they will send service man out to your home even after that keep a good eye on your tractor since its still under waranty for further problems.

Joe your 20 year old craftsman had a better built ****** by sears and you probably had a 6 speed or five speed even hydostatics were good too, they dont have much problems except belt slipping its an easy fix this new tractor u need service man right away.

MY CRAFTSMAN GT5000 WILL NOT ENGAGE BLADES USE TO MAKE A CLICK NOISE NOW NOTHING i HAVE POWER TO SWITCH & NOTHING GOING TO MOWER CLUTCH?

Sounds like the switch is bad. You can test the clutch by unplugging the electrical connector then grounding the black wire to tractor or directly to the negative battery cable then the gray one to the positive touch it then the clutch should click on. The switch can be found on Sears parts direct but you will need the model number under the seat. Starts with 917 then 6 more digits.

Hope this helps, if so please vote yes. Thanks!!

I put a new pto clutch on my LT 1024 cub cadet and was told that the switch could be out but I found a service manual on line and waiting to read about the electric clutch

Yeah if you bought a new one, it should be good, the switch is 12 volts, and there is a fuse on it, on some I should say, I just did mine. So get out your tester, check the switch for juice, if none, follow the wires back to the fuse or to the harness, there could be a corroded link there. The old clutch might still be good, save it, they are expensive. I had to pay $75 for a used one. You can test the old one on the bench by jumping it with a battery, it will make the solenoid jump. If it doesn't, it is shot. Check it out.

How to fix gears on riding lawn mower

First: check your drive belt. Don't have the product manual? Download it from the Sears or Murray website. Second: Check your clutch/brake linkage. The clutch may need adjustment. Procedure on manual. The clutch wears over time and needs to be readjusted.

How to remove hex bolt holding on the electric clutch on my sears dgt6000 riding mower. 2003 model with 48'' deck. When trying to loosen it the shaft turns with it

If you do not have any power tools, air or electric impact wrench, you will need to block the flywheel from turning at the top of the engine in order to break the torque on the clutch bolt. If you can give the 917.xxxxxx model number I will look it up and try to tell you how to block the flywheel without damaging anything

Electric clutch on my 4 yr old Cub Cadet 2518 was intermittent

check fuse or power it up seperatly with 12volts (battery directly into the two terminals) to see if it is a wiring fault but it sounds like you need a new clutch assembly $$$
