At anytime, was MS Project Pro 2K3 installed? If so, has it been uninstalled?

Do you still have the media for this application?

  • Anonymous Nov 28, 2007

The fix is to insert the media in the CD/DVD drive. Then you should be given a set of options. Select Remove. This will uninstall the software.

Then reboot the computer. After doing so, re-install the software. When installing the software, select Custom instead of Standard. Then left-click on the application and select This component and all components will be installed on the hard drive. This will change the color from grey to white.

Hope this helps :) Kindly leave a rating. Thanks.

Monitor only works on safe mode, why?

Vga drivers might have been corrupted and need to be updated.

Video drivers are applications that enhance your on-screen display. The drivers make your text and images sharper and clearer. Some devices and applications may corrupt display drivers. You can, however, repair the drivers in Safe Mode. Safe Mode is an area of Windows that only allows a limited number of applications to run, thereby making it ideal for repairing and restoring your display driver. Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel." Double-click "System and Maintenance" and click "Device Manager" to launch the hardware management console if you are using Windows Vista or 7. For Windows XP users, right-click "My Computer" on the desktop and click "Manage." Click "Device Manager" to launch the hardware management console. Click the "Display Adapter" to expand it. Make a note of the video driver that contains a question or exclamation mark. A question or exclamation mark means the video driver is either damaged or missing. Close the Device Manager. Write down your computer's model and serial number. The location of the serial number varies with different computer models but can generally be found on the front or back of your computer. Go to your computer manufacturer's website and locate the "Support and Drivers" section. Locate "Driver Downloads." When prompted, type your serial or model number to locate the drivers compatible with your computer. Click "Download" next to the video driver compatible with your computer. Select "Save" and download the video driver installation file on your desktop. Restart your computer and press "F8" repeatedly before Windows reloads to launch the Advanced Options Menu. Select "Safe Mode" and press "Enter" to launch Windows Safe Mode. Double-click the video driver you installed and click "Run" to install the driver on your computer. When the installation completes, go back to the Device Manager and click "Display Adapters." Make sure that your video driver no longer contains a question or exclamation mark. If the driver still contains a question or exclamation mark, right-click it and click "Update driver." This launches the launch the driver installation wizard. Insert your Windows installation CD and click "Install software automatically (Recommended)" and then click "Next." The install wizard installs the video driver automatically. Restart your computer normally when the installation completes. Hope this helps.

Missing is resource file in the installation directory?

This generally happens if you have uninstalled some application that was installed but it was not full uninstalled from the computer. You might use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to uninstall the program completely. Follow the link given below to download the utility.

Download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
http://www.reginout.com/

One you have downloaded, install it. Restart the computer then launch it. When you launch it you will get a list of applications that you might remove. Select the appropriate one and follow the instructions on the screen.

Cinedash FIX for Windows 7
This works to fix the CineDash Media Console!
I had the same problem with my Aspire 8920G
Now it works fine.
Getting the CineDash Media Console and Launch Buttons working
If you have problems with either the CineDash Media Console or Launch buttons then you will be happy to hear that the solution for fixing these is easy!
The first thing that you will need to do is install the “Launch Manager” which can be downloaded off the Acer website. Go to http://www.acer.com and click the service support, then driver download. Go to your model. Download the Launch Manager on the acer site. The filename should be “Kilimanjaro_v2.0.00_Vistax32×64_XPx32×64.zip” the version of Launch Manager under the Windows Vista operating system .This will get the Email, Web and Empowering Technology buttons working with their default settings. If you need to change what the buttons do, you can launch the application named “Launch Manager” in the start menu.
Uninstall any previous version of Launch Manager
The solution to my problem was to get the Launch Manager to run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
Unzip. Explore the new folder and right-click Setup.exe.
To do this go to the Launch Manager Install directory (C:\Program Files\Launch Manager ), right-click on “setup.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install. But don’t reboot yet!
Now locate and explore the freshly installed folder in your program files directory – (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager or C:\Program Files\Launch Manager depending on if you are running 64-bit or 32-bit)
right-click on “LManager.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install.
Reboot and enjoy properly synced volume, and fully functioning buttons.

I have the Aspire 5630 and I'm using windows 7 but I want the setup file of the launch manager because the multimedia buttons don't work. Thnx.

Alright, so I have the Aspire 5630 and after installing Windows 7 32 bit, the media keys did not work. Just installing the latest Launch Manager didn't work. But here's what did work for me: Install the 3.0.04 version of the Launch Manager (LaunchManager_Dritek_3.0.04_W7x64W7x86_A.zip) If the link doesn't work, just select the Acer Aspire 7730 in the Service & Support section of their website, choose Windows 7 as the OS, and you'll see the Launch Manager under the Application tab.
After installing that and rebooting, the media still didn't work for me (though another user reports that they worked at this point). What I then did was download the latest Launch Manager for the Aspire 5630 for Vista (same deal as before if the link doesn't work, but select the 5630 and Vista instead). Extract the .zip, then take the "LManager.exe" file from the zip and replace the one in "C:program filesLaunch Manager" (back up the existing one if you so desire.) If Launch Manager is already running, right click on it's icon in tray and close it, then launch the one you just copied over (which will also now be the one that is launched automatically on start).
At this point, all of my media keys were working.
Hope this helps!
