I have an Asko T702C Butterfly Drying Dryer and it just stopped working. The drum doesn't circulate anymore and the motor is loud. Any idea what that could mean? Thinking of selling it. I'm tired of

It sounds like the belt is broken and the motor is spinning wildly at full speed. As far as who to fix it for anyone to come out there and lets say it is the belt it is going to cost you about $200. The belt itself is probably only $30 or so. Even if there are no parts needed, which is not likely, it will still cost you $150. Ask yourself do you want to invest in that one or a new one,,,how old is that dryer ?

Asko T702C Service Manual

That is a pretty easy fix without the manual. Take off the top by removing screws on the back top. Remove the sheet metal screws around the perimeter of the the back panel. Pull the drum off the front enough to drop the belt in front of the drum. Put the back panel back on. Now you can thread the belt back into place. The belt runs with the ridges on the spindle of the motor and on the smooth side on the tensioner.
You should replace the pulley idler when replacing the belt, also. I learned this the hard way and snapped a 5 month old belt.

I have a quiet series 200 Maytag dryer. The dryer comes on but the drum does not turn?

Sounds like your belt broke. Here is a video to show you how to replace it if it is broken.

My ASKO T702C dryer just stopped working. It starts but after 5 mins it just turns off. Any suggestions?

Try opening the bottom vent panel and pulling out the filter box (there are directions and handles)... hold the filter under running hot water for a while and you should see all this nasty stuff come out. Worked for me!

Asko t702c stops working after about 5 minutes

If you continue to try to run the dryer after the automatic shut off kicks-in it will shut the cycle down with no flashing lights after the dryer reaches a critical and dangerous temperature. If the dryer is skipping immediately to this step without any flashing lights then call an Asko certified repairman as something may be wrong with the machine. If you have not tried cleaning the condensor, please do this as well. Remove the bottom housing of the dyer, move the two red handle to the right, and pull out the condensor unit. Wash it under warm/hot water using a bathtub or shower and you will see lint and dust come out by the heapful. Replace the condensor unit, wait about 30-45 minutes, and then try restarting your dry cycle.
