Acer Aspire Netbook..Can't use keys or right/left click.
On my Acer Aspire Netbook, can't seem to use keys or right/left click. Cursor does move to touchpad. Is there a key lock? Or could it be another problem?

on the bottom right corner of your screen there should be a little square that lights up or becomes animated when you more your finger on the touchpad. move your cursor to that and right click it ( put your cursor on it and click the right (as in not left) button and select properties. The option is in there, just look around for it : )
go to the start key bottom left of the keyboard then up to programs then over to the right to acer empowering technology then over the right again to acer erecovery management and click on it then choose reinstall aplications/drivers then click on the contents
then click on audio
and go over to the right and click install
after windows will probably restart
hope this sorts it for you
it did work for me
good luck
The Acer Aspire One Netbook has a hidden partition on its hard disk drive which allows recovery of
1. operating system to original factory image (with no recovery disk required)
2. applications (selectable)
3. drivers (selectable)
If the netbook came with pre-installed Windows XP, use Acer eRecovery Management by
1. pressing start button at bottom left corner of Taskbar
2. hover cursor over All Programs then Acer Empowering Technology
3. then click on Acer eRecovery Management and follow subsequent recovery instructions
Alternatively, on powering up, press Alt and F10 together while Acer logo is showing.
If this doesn't work, there is the possibility that the D2D recovery is not enabled for startup.
To enable D2D recovery,
1. press F2 on powering up to get into the startup utility
2. cursor over to the Main tab
3. cursor down to D2D and enable it.
4. save changes when exiting - system will reboot
5. again, press Alt and F10 together while Acer logo is showing.
Hi,
The Netbook wireless switch is designed like it so that if you click the right key it will enable Wireless and the left key 3G (optional)
Thanks and regards,

If the mouse totally stop working like left/right click, moving, etc then i suggest replace the battery of your mouse and try. If the same result then again install the driver & restart the netbook.
Thanks waiting for your feedback.
