SOURCE: frigidaire refrigerator with ice maker leaks water

It sounds like your ice maker is leaking.
If you are able, try opening up the ice maker for a visual inspection.
just remember to unplug first.
Apparently there is a leak somewhere.
Sometimes ice makers will over flow if the float gets stuck or a connection has come loose.
If you cannot work on it yourself, then I suggest looking up a service technician on the Fixya website.

SOURCE: Maytag Refrigerator Model MSD2454GR

I had this problem and it was due to a poor door seal. Check around the area where the ice is forming to see if there is air leaking from the freezer.

SOURCE: water collects on shelves and below the crisper bins at bottom

Your defrost drain hole is frozen closed.
Remove the back freezer panel and defrost the ice with a hair dryer.
Once the drain is clear poura 1/4 cup bleach in the drain hole.

I have water on floor under refrigerator. There is no water supply line to this frig.

If the refrigerator is leaking water it's possible that the refrigerator has a clogged or freezing defrost drain. If the defrost drain freezes the defrost water will overflow the drain and drip down to the bottom of the compartment, If enough water accumulates in the bottom it can run out onto the floor.17 May 2013

thermostate stuck in defrost mode. sometimes they are inside frig(were temp controls are) sometimes in bottom rear of frig. IF you can find it you will find a small knob with slit in it. turn it clockwise just a little and clicking will stop and frig will start cooling however it will probably do it again. recommend replace thermostate.

Water on btm of glass shelves and water in bottom of frig

sounds like you have a gap in the door seal, which results in condensation forming inside unit. Use a blow dryer to heat the seal around the door and ensure that the fit is tight.

Is your problem fixed yet?

Yes, I fixed my problem of the plugged drain that caused the ice to melt onto the floor. Apparently, frostfree frigs have a drain that leads to a pan under the frig by way of plastic tubing from inside the freezer compartment. The drain tube end for my frig only had about 1/8" clearance above the pan bottom. The pan was dirty with an ENORMOUS amount of dust that had collected. So, I had to move the frig out from the wall, remove the back cover at the bottom of the back of the frig. This exposed the white tubing and the gross pan of dust and water paste. I cleaned the pan, disconnected the tubing from the clip holding it in the pan and trimmed about 1/4" off the end to create a bigger clearance into the drain pan.

Make sure the frig is unplugged before you do the job so the evaporator fan doesn't hurt you.

Now, I will have to clean from behind the frig at least once a year.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

there is a drain in the middle of the defrost water collector and it is probably blocked - usually with ice. dry ot the tray and put very hot water in to melt the ice. you may have to do several times. do this until water flows away freely
