GE Cordless model 25846EE1-b

My answering machine on my phone some how changes from English to Spanish and I am unable to change it back. Can you help?????

    I bought this phone for my dad and after he got it the answering machine was answering in spanish and we cant find how to change it to answer in english.

Holding down the review and skip button at the same time worked for me too!!! I must admit, tho, some of my friends laughed and thought I must of been messin with them and I had virtually NO calls from someone trying to sell me something! LOL! Thanks for fixing it! Laurie

Press the skip button and hold for 2 seconds to toggle the language from Spanish to English. The unit will then announce "English selected".

According to the manual, you hold the SKIP button down for 2 seconds and it reverts back to English. (Don't hold it down again or it's Espanol time).

My answering machine
I think I found a solution. On my phone model 27996GE3-A, I unplugged the phone for a few seconds, plugged it back in and waited until the display showed the number of messages and then I pressed the "skip" and "review" buttons at the same time and then it announced the the language changed to english. Hope this helps.

Change answering machine from Spanish to English
On the GE models believe itor not extremely simple: press and hold the "skip" button on the base until desired language is spoken. Had the same problem and after searching the web and being on hold for 45 minutes, I could't believe how easy the answer was!

The Phone's mode is stuck on Spanish

Answering Machine Language
Just as the other answers that were left...you just have to press the skip button. Just make sure that you press announce on the cradle...not on the phone...then when you hear the voice in Spanish just press and HOLD the skip button until it changes to English. Good Luck
