Uniden Lands Phones - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Like many phones, it sets the time upon receiving a call, and there is no other way to set the time. Until you receive the first call, the time will show incorrectly. (Also, the phone will not show the change to or from daylight saving time until it receives a call after the change.)

Unfortunately there is no simply delete all option So here's what you need to do , ( has uniden phone landline) Menu - down arrow - call blocking - menu key - view number - menu key - delete .. You'll need to do this for each number ... I haven't found a more easier way to do, I assigned a name to all the numbers like bogus 1 or scam 1 https://www.google.com/search?q=uniden+6.0+remove+blocked+contacts ..

The range of a handset can be affected by many things. Try some of the simple, (and free), fixes first. Where is the base unit? Is it near other technology like a TV, wiFi hub or even things like a microwave. Is it near a window or an outside wall? Try moving it to a position nearer the centre of the house so the base unit covers more signal area. How old is the handset and base? Old phones and bases do get weaker as they get older. Are there solid, (brick), walls between you and the base unit when your using the handset? Thicker, denser building material blocks out some or all of the signal from the handset.

I had this exact problem on a D1780 and solved it by un-registering all of the handsets and then re-registering them. Before I did that it would only allow six phones to be registered at a time.

It looks like the Set/Start button might be the right arrow button from the arrow keys to the right of memory buttons. It's possible that it is between the right and down arrows, based on where the manual shows "Setting Finished Exit from Operation". See the English version of the manual available here: https://www.ustel.com.hk/manual/Uniden/manual_AS7401_EN.pdf . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Reset the system and get the base station to re learn each handset or just move the handsets around.

There should be a label on the base unit with the model information.

Something may have failed in the base unit but there could be a telco problem that is cutting off service. If you can substitute a different phone and still don't get a dial tone, contact your telco to find out why.

Clear the Handset's Base Data
  1. To remove the base data from a handset when out of range of the base, press and hold the 'end' button and the '#' button simultaneously until the phone beeps.
  2. It will now be de-registered from the base.
Note: This requires that the base and handset can communicate with each other.

Call the phone provider you are using, (verizon, att, etc.) they can help you to reset the password.

Uniden Lands... • Answered on Mar 27, 2020

Hello Lynn: Make sure the power cord is securely plugged into the telephone base. Plug the telephone base into a different working electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch. Move the handset closer to the telephone base. It may be out of range. Reset the telephone base by unplugging the electrical power to the base. Wait for 15 seconds and plug it back in again. Allow up to one minute for the cordless handset and the telephone base to synchronize. Other electronic products such as HAM radios and other DECT phones can cause interference with your cordless phone. Try installing your phone as far away as possible from these types of electronic devices.

I had the same problem. Something makes the phone's memory get "stuck."  Take the battery out of the phone for a minute and then put it back. Then unplug the phone and plug in again. You need to do this with all extensions. The problem goes away.
