Question about GE 27992GE5 Cordless Phone

The Phone's mode is stuck on Spanish

I have the GE 2.4GHz Cordless Phone w/Digital Answering Machine and the answering message and modes are stuck on Spanish. I do not speak of understand Spanish, is there a way you can help me figure out how to do this.

    I would like to know how to get the answering machine back to english. I really don't know how it happened. My grandchild started pressing buttons on the base and the machine started with the spanish. Please tell me what to do to solve this problem.

    my answering mach is also stuck on spanish..thanks to a grandchild. tried turning off mach an then pressing skip an holding down annocment button. no luck please help

Press and hold the "Skip" button. I did this while the answer machine was ON. The english voice will say that the language has changed to english.

Turn answer off then hold announce button while pressing skip button it will change to english any other help contact me at [email protected]

How do u switch it from spanish to english?
Press and hold the STOP/SET button for two seconds, then release to access the set-up menu.

The answering machine announces, For English, press NEXT, press SET to continue (in English). Para espanol, oprima PREVIO, oprima PROGRAMAR para continuar (in Spanish).

Press NEXT, answerer enters English voice menu mode. If PREVIOUS is pressed, answerer enters Spanish voice menu mode. If SET is pressed, answerer remains in the current language mode. In any case, the answerer enters to the TIME/DAY menu.

Answering machine is suddenly speaking spanish
I have had this same problem, for about the same amount of time... I cant stand it!! Okay, here is the solution.. Press and hold the Skip button, on the base of the answering machine, for two seconds.. TA DAH!! all better. lol...

My answering machine
I think I found a solution. On my phone model 27996GE3-A, I unplugged the phone for a few seconds, plugged it back in and waited until the display showed the number of messages and then I pressed the "skip" and "review" buttons at the same time and then it announced the the language changed to english. Hope this helps.

battery problem I have GE2.4 GHz . I am facing few problems with it for couple of months. 1) It goes to the answering machine after 2 rings, though we tried to adjust the number fo rings, it didnt work. 2) It always shows Low battery and gets diconnected after couple of minutes (7-8min). we had just repleced the battery with a new one. The phone is always in the charger. CAn any one tell me how to rectify this problem.
