Our church purchased this sharp projector in 2006 upon turning it on last week it would not light up. We are in the process of buying a new lamp but was wondering if it could be something else. also we misplaced the manual and need a new one.
For the time being at least, I got my projector back on by unplugging the power cord for about 30 seconds then held down the following keys on the projector: Menu, Enter and the Down Arrow and while holding them down, pressed the power key. The projector started up like new with H0000 hrs on the screen like it was a new one. Will be interesting to see how long the bulb lasts! I had been getting a Replace Bulb messge for several weeks before it shut off with two red lights lit. So I tried the above procedure befoer buying a new bulb.
It is most likely the lamp.

I just installed a new lamp and now the stand by and lamp light are on and the projector isn't functioning although there is power to it.i guess what im trying to say is the projector isn't doing anything.
