Sharp XR-10X Multimedia Projector Questions & Answers
Please check the internal fuse. It should be right underneath the power plug port. If it's broken, then buy a new one.

blown fuse - take the lid off (six screws in the bottom and two in the back). look for a small red button by the lamp (front of the projector) and push it, it doesn't move much but it should work.
If that doesn't work call up 888-go-sharp their repair service.
NOTE - make sure you are NOT blocking the fan of the projector this causes it to overheat and shut down or worse... Make sure to tell your girlfriend the same thing so when you have the argument why she put the pillow on the projector you can at least say you told her not to block the fan.

These bulbs are very sensitive to contamination. When installing a bulb, do not touch it with your fingers, as this will leave your natural oils on it and that will become a hot spot and burn out the lamp.
Use a clean piece of toilet tissue when installing the new lamp to eliminate the above.
Good luck!

if there are no leds lit, the bimetal breaker has probably tripped. remove the top case (6 screws on the bottom and the top 2 on the back). find the red button on the front of the lamp housing and press it. if it clicked, it has reset and will now work. if it didn't, you have a bad power supply. while you have the projector open, blow the dust out of it with canned air.
