I have 2 CDs that I use often .. but though the CD drive opens great when nothing's in there, when these particular 2 CDs are in there (either one) it won't open. I keep pushing the button, and eventually it opens. Now the 2 CDs in question are different brands, but very sticky around the middle hole. I think it is this stickiness that is preventing them dropping back down on the tray. I have tried to clean them both with alcohol and with methalated spirits and a cotton bud, but they are still sticky, though not as sticky as they were before cleaning. Other CDs go in the drive, and it opens when I'm finished with it, but these 2 CDs are 'bugbears'. Is there someway to lessen the stickiness on them? Is the stickiness the prob? What say ye?
