SOURCE: change light
i just put fluorescent lights in two of these fans. it just takes a little fabbing and its done and simple.
Go to home depot and buy a lithonia lighting 11" low profile round light model# FM22 ACLR LP.
tools:
drill
rotozip or file
wire strippers
crescent wrench
screwdriver(phillips)
you can take the neons and the power supply off of the fan base but be sure to save all the screws, you will need them later. the ballast in the light will fit in the chrome base on the fan but you have to shave one of the bolt holes down first for it to fit (be sure not to cut the ones that the bolts go through). you do not need the green ground wire from the new light.
Next drill out the rivets from the bulb brackets on the new light base. now you can take the bulb and place it on the fan backing plate and get your bulb brackets and mark where you will mount them. then drill holes for them (but make sure the holes are for the screws that you saved earlier because you will reuse them for the light brackets). Be sure to mount the bulb as center as possible.
now once you have fabbed everything put the assembly up to the fan and pull the wires down through the ballast and through the center tassle bolt and wire it up. the bulb is an 8" bulb and thats all that will fit. home depot sells phillips 8" bulbs in several different brightnesess.
this picture was taken on my phone so it isn't that great. but the light really brightens it up.
SOURCE: Trying to connect a ceiling fan light kit.
Those connections sound OK ,, now you have to go to the canopy and see if all the wires for the fan/light are connected to a house wire. If there are two switches , then the blue fan wire would connect to the red wire .. it may be capped off in the ceiling. If there is only one control switch , then the blue wire from the fan will connect to the same ceiling wire as the black fan wire does.

I search eBay and Home Depot and did not see this listed. Apparently about 5 years old.
