HAMPTON BAY CEILING FAN MODEL # UC7067RC
The best place to start with would be Home Depot. Since it is only a couple of weeks old you should have no problem exchanging it. This is their brand. They have a very liberal return and exchange program which should help you out.
Light/fan won't turn on
A remote control seems a rather unnecessary complication as it means the light fitting must include some fairly sensitive electronics that will inevitably affect the reliability and lifespan of something that needs to be reliable and long-lived.
Electric motors are electrically fairly noisy and not very friendly towards sensitive electronics, especially at switch on or switch off and voltage surges on the supply can happen at any time. The only way to build such a remote controlled fan to be long-lived and reliable would be to fit filters, suppressors and shielding until it is impossibly expensive. The sensitive electronics in reality are unlikely to represent a greater quality than a far-eastern handbag factory can manage.
I suggest you call an electrician and if the electronics are faulty, have them bypassed so it is controlled solely by the wall switch and drop the remote in the garbage...
I need to find a replacement part model UC7067RC;
before you buy a new one try this
turn off the power!!
remove the fan controller and open it
you will see a big resistor (gray) resolder it - either on side is loose
or it is completly off
resistor location is r7
Thanks
