Washer Probem.. the rubber came off the metal rim.

The rubber that holds the metal rim on a front load washer has come off so now it makes a lot of noise when it spins. Also some water is leaking...
Any suggestions how to get the rubber back on the metal rim so that it starts working without any noise and does not leak.

The rubber is most likely damaged and needs replacing. They make and sell repair kits to fix this. Buy the repair kit from any Bosch dealer and the instructions are included in the package.

Samsung washer WF328AAW/XAA metal pieces in hose?

Could be a number of things. Either something foreign was left in a pocket (Coins are the most common object) and has come out in the wash. The coin rattles around and falls in between the tubs through the gap in the front gasket. When this happens, the coin can hit the bracket which holds the heater element in place and tears it off. This causes a lot of damage. Most Samsung have plastic outer bowls and often, the tub will be split and a leak will start from underneath. Lastly, it could be the drum main shaft and spider assembly. This is what holds the spin tub into the machine. If this fails, bits of metal will come off. Usually seen as bits of corroded aluminium that get stuck in the pump and hoses. When this happens, the tub usually goes loose and the machine makes a horrible grinding and banging noise when spinning. I would say that if this has happened , its time for a new machine.

Leaking

I think your rubber band is not round your drum proper youve got toun plug it pull it out un screw lidput your hand down front of washer insideand feel round rubber and if it feels like its come away then you have a metal loop that may need puttin back proper so you will have unscrew it and movethe metal rim and putthe rubber back into slot again all the best

It makes a loud noise when washing - it seems like the inner tub is sagging or something, when you open the door you can see the top rim of the tub. Is this fixable - and cost effective?

Hi,

When my washer did that, I found that the shocks that hold the tub were bad...

Check out this tip I wrote about the noise and vibration that front load washers can make..

Rubber around the washer has come off - there is a thin mental wire but it does not seem to fit well. I have also lost the manual which may have a picture in it.

The thin metal wire should have a loop on either end. Connecting the two loops is a spring, that wire/spring combination holds the rubber seal around the tub opening. Putting the wire back on is a lesson in patience. The rubber fits in a slot on the back and the wire holds it in in the front. Good luck.

Suds get stuck in the rubber rim of the washer

You are not supposed to use suds, use 'washing powder' for 'front-loading washing machines' which is available in any supermarket.

Distroyed drumb

if it is only the rubber gasket and the spring loaded clamp that holds it in place it is worth repairing. if the tub, inner or outer, is damaged it is probably time to replace it
