24raq-3 makes a bubbling sound when not in use. This is actually from the AC unit inside the house. It is a wall unit.

Get bubbling sound for a while and then it stops. Then it starts back up for a while. The unit is in the wall. The condenser coils were 75 % plugged till I was able to get someone to clean them to about 25 % now. There are also plants close to one side of the coils that are about a couple of inches away. The top is clear.

An older fridge can make some strange noises. Mine sounds like wind blowing across a chimney.

A friend also complained his fridge sometimes sounded as though it was boiling. Someone told him to turn it upside down for a time and then right way up four 4 hours before switching on again.

He rang me thinking the guy was crazy but I told him I had heard something similar many years ago and in fact I had actually followed the instructions I was given and turned the fridge end-over-end a few times and restored it to health. My friend also seems to think his fridge sounds better...

The compressor is covered for at least three years, give a call to the number listed on the owner's manual to validate warranty and get the replacement.

SOURCE: Side by side doors uneven at top

Hi Carol,

Interestingly enough, I answered a similar question just the other day. Maybe there's an outbreak of lazy factory technicians who "forget" to tighten the hinge brackets? Hmmmm. Makes on wonder...

Anyway, it's easy... The door alignment adjustment is done at the top hinge. Pull up a step-stool, then remove the hinge cover. Under there you'll see three screws, I think they're 5/16". Loosen these (since your door has dropped, they're probably already loose), then lift up on the door handle to align it with the other door... while keeping the door aligned, tighten the hinge screws (and put alot of torque on 'em to keep 'em from loosening in the future). Now just replace the hinge cover and your done!

SOURCE: Durotherm Model 57915.331 - not cooling properly

Yes, you should remove the upper cover and check the back side of the condenser as Duo-Therms pull air in from the sides and blow it through the coils from inside the shroud. This usually will cause the compressor to shut down, but only after running for awhile. When you notice that the unit is not cooling as well, or not at all, got up on the roof and remove the shroud, check to see if the compressor is actually running. If the compressor is shut off, the problem lies elsewhere in the system. Check to see if the compressor is cycling on and off or if once it is off it stays off.
If you have a wall thermostat control, check for 12VDC power at the yellow wire when the compressor is off. If power is present, then remove the control box from inside the inner shroud of the unit and check for power at the yellow wire in the there. If it is still present, check for 120VAC power at the compressor relay (black wire with Purple or Blue wire). If the purple or blue wire have 120VAC power, then the problem is upstairs either with start capacitor or the thermal overload (located on top of Compressor). If there is no power at the purple or blue wire, try unplugging the freeze control and jumper the connection on the board (blue connection, white wires) with a small piece of wire, if the compressor comes on and runs, then you have a bad freeze control. If not, then you have a bad control board.
If you have manual controls on the ceiling unit, you could have a bad thermostat. Unplug power from the unit and remove the two wires on the back of the thermostat. With an ohmmeter, check for continuity between the two terminals, if there is, turn the knob and watch the meter. You should not lose connection until the temperature you set is above the temp. inside the unit. If this is ok, then you need to check the selector switch. Also check the components in the upper unit as described in the above paragraph.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Ac unit front panel ( panel inside the house) got very wet from rain, and now the circuit breaker in the wall plug trips immediately when power button is pushed.

sounds like the control box in the unit got water inside and something shorted. if you have the tools you might want to look inside it and see if any wires look burnt

Bubbling water sound in AC. Water in the tray is cold. Unit continues to make a gurgling sound.

The gurgling sound is the liquid refrigerant going through the refrigeration copper lines , it's normal. And the water in the tray is condensation and is cold because is from the circulating air that gets cold going through the air handler(inside unit) You only has to keep the drain clean ,by pouring 1/2 cup of clorox every 3 or 4 months.

Just purchased a 15000 btu 110 Frigidaire window unit and we love it. However, since the rear of the AC is actually on the back porch, the water from the AC runs down the wall and on to the floor. We could...

window units slide into an outside frame section
there is a hose attachment area at the back of the ac unit proper that a hose can be attached to
and there should be a section in the frame that allows the hose to be fitted to that ac unit proper
the unit should be mounted so that it actually slopes slightly down at the rear so water can collect at that drain point
there are adaptors that should have come in the packing box for hose attachment
if not, many people use white poly piping or electrical conduit with suitable elbows to collect the water at the hole and pipe it back to the wall into a bucket and the collected water used to water plants and gardens

Samsung ac model aw25ecb7

hi! bill,
water drip it should be outsidethe house, beside there is a spout on the basin of your ac unit and hose to drip off outside the house, all you gonna do insert a piece of wood or metal on front side of basin, in between basin and the wall, just small piece object to elevate the basin to outside wall, the water will not stored in the basin.or make a spout, drill a hole 1/4" size at the corner at the backside of basin out side your house,be carefull not to drill condenser tube or the fan blade, insert a plastic hose 3/16" and weld it by glue gun.and end of hose put it an empty bottle so that the water drip will not scattered outside your house.regards and don't forget to rate me,thank's a lot

Fidgerdare electrtolux air conditioner

have you brought it down for a general cleaning on the 3 year period? if not then that's what it needs now.

the coil is freezing up because of dirt accumulation on the coil. even there is a filter, still with in 3 years it could have accumulated to decrease the airflow thru the coil and freeze it up.

tnx 4 using fixya,
