SOURCE: pressure washer has no pressure

Try and back flush the washer..Take spay nozzle off washer and back flush with hose...If any kind of sand or deposits get into the Pump it will hold pressure valve open not letting it build pressure.after back flushing hook back up washer and before you put spar nozzle back on or start washer turn water on and make sure all air is out of washer..hook spray nozzle back up and hold it open with washer still off.when you see that there is no more air coming out of washer start it and you should have pressure.Hope this helps you and have a great day!!

What kind of oil does a husky 3000psi pressure washer use?

I don't believe that Husky (Home Depot) makes any 3000psi pressure washer that operates with a 2 Cycle motor. So.... gas only in the gas tank. Husky pumps can be from several differant manufacturers... some use no oil, some are sealed and don't recommend any attempt at oil changes, and some use Non-detergent 30w oil and some use 20-50 Full Synthetic oil. You can look up your specific model specifcations with a google search for Husky pressure washer.

My Husky HU 80709 gas pressure washer starts (most of the time) but if I shut it off to answer a phone call, etc.,I cannot get it started again. It's like it has a vapor lock or something. Any ideas what...

I have the same power washer.
When you go to restart it you need to hold the sprayer nozzle so the their is no pressure in the hose. It is even better if you take the tip off the spray nozzle and then while holding the spray nozzle open restart. It will start up real quick. I never start it now with the hose on or attached at least from a cold start. Kind of a pain.
I will also tell you this. This morning I had two bolts shear off the main pump. I have used it 5 times and have had it only a year. I am hoping this is a fluke since I really do like the pressure washer. Jim

How much psi does a 3000psi power wash have when in use

James, That depends on where you measure it. Internally, on the outflow side of the pump it's pretty close to 3000 psi. It's probably just a few psi lower just before the spray nozzle. After it leaves the nozzle it has zero psi, but it has a LOT of velocity. The actual velocity depends mostly on the nozzle, but that too drops to zero if you measure it far enough away from the nozzle.

Husky 1650 PSI power washer hose got brittle and broke.

If the $$ that you Husky Dealer is asking is to tall, try a garage that make brake hoses. Take the hose with you and many times they can remove your nozzle and install it on a new piece of hose. MAKE SURE that they understand that this hose is for a pressure washer...DO NOT use just any hose...it MUST be a high pressure rated hose.

Karcher G3050OH Pressure Washer Spill / Unloader Valve (Bypass)

You should put 'locktite' on the male thread and screw it in all the way and lock it there. That is how it works ,the spring keeps the valve at the bottom closed during high pressure operation. When the gun is released the part with the o-ring is forced down resulting in the valve opening and then the pressure is by-passed.Those dont normally give trouble. Look for a blocked nozzle or a restriction somewhere in your high pressure hose.

Still stumped tbugger

If your heater has a plastic nozzle adapter - check for a crack at its base. There could be either a vac leak- or a pressure leak at this point.

There is no check valve. And there is supposed to be a slight delay ( 2-3 seconds, maybe) in fuel pick up, but it sounds excessive, in your case.

One time, this is true, a do-it-yourselfer engineer had a similar problem. He had put a hardware store hose on his fuel pick up. The I.D. of the hose was slightly larger that factory specs, but it was all he could find. He fought the problem until he put his pencil to the weight of the column of liquid that the pump was attempting to lift, figured the column was too heavy, so he ordered a factory spec'd fuel line and that solved his problem, so he says.

Here's another wierd one. A customer brought a new heater into our shop for warranty. He was having a similar problem. Our veteran mechanic found that the nozzle had been factory overtightened into the nozzle adapter and the o-ring on the nozzle was partially restricting the fuel entry hole of the nozzle adapter. Now you know why we called him "Moses". He could work miracles.

You have a minor problem thats going to be hard to find. Just keep plugging away.
