Icetech Chest Freezer Orange Light Is This on All the Time

The compressor won't burn out just because it's running all the time. The plastic fascia pops out easily from behind(take the little panel off on the side) Set the thermostat to the middle of its range and switch the fast freeze off.

No check your settings. You may try to unplug it for about a minute and then restart. If that doesn't work, call the mfr. they should help since it is new.

Are you sure it is a standby light? Usually the orange light is showing you it is in fast freeze. Try switching the orange button off and monitor the temperature. The freezer should cycle on and off, not run continuously.

the light tell you if the door is closed properly or not . Close the door tightly and check the lights. Then open it and check them again this will tell you the positiopn of the door for each colour

Orange switch only by passes the thermostat. It sounds like your freezer is either out of gas or the cooling fan (if there is one) is not working.

I have a nova scotia chest freezer on the indecater it is 0 to 5 which is the coldest number 0 or 5

Normally orange signifys that the machine has been switched into fast freeze , check your controls

Try advancing the defrost timer manually.
