Have you checked the water pipe is actually producing water

- Not kinked
- Vale turned on at wall

If you are still making ICE... your drinking VALVE is defective.

Without a model number we can speculate no further.

Water dispenser not working

Have you changed the water filter? they can plug up over time. The water tube can freeze in the door. To test this there usually is a disconnect under the freezer door side of the grill you can disconnect this and hit the water dispenser lever. If the door is getting water then it is frozen in the door. If not the water valve could be your problem there are two sides to the water valve one for the water dispenser and one for the icemaker. A last possibility is there is a water tank or tubing loop in the refrigerator behind the crisper this could have frozen.

Whirpool Gold 21 Cu. Ft. Side by Side. Water dispenser will not dispense water. I hear the solenoid click. I think the line in must be frozen some where.

Do the following: Flush the water system. Use a sturdy container to depress and hold the water dispenser lever for 5 seconds, then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser lever (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) until a total of 3 gal. (12 L) has been dispensed. This will flush air from the filter and water dispensing system, and prepare the water filter for use.
Ensure that the freezer door is closed completely? Close the door firmly.
Ensure that the water shutoff valve is fully open.
Ensure that the water pressure is at least 30 psi (207 kPa)? The water pressure to the home determines the flow from the dispenser.
Check for any kinks in the home water source line? Straighten the water source line.
Check the water filter. The filter may be clogged or incorrectly installed.
if still there is problem of water flow then please take assistance of a technician to check the plumbing.
If the fridge is new and in the warranty period get in touch with the service center and ask for free service.

Our fridge is a little over 6 years old and everything has worked fine until now. Earlier in the day I was able to fill up a glass of water no problem but now no water is coming out of the dispenser. The...

Usually that is from the water line freezing up. Behind your refrigerator drawers there is either a plastic tank or a coil of plastic tube........That is where the water runs so your dispenser puts out chilled water. If your fridge gets too cold that will form ice inside and stop the water from flowing. You can defrost it with a hair dryer or just let the fridge sit open for a few hours. Another thing could be the water valve. When you press the water lever on the dispenser do you hear a noise? Kind of a humming noise. Well, that is your water valve, so if you hear it then it is probably working.

GS6SHEXMLoo side by side ice dispenser not working

On advice from the tech I removed acess door. It was covered by frozen moisture.
I removed the motor it was full of water. I verified 120 volts at plug to motor from control
by depressing the door switch and ice dispenser lever at same time. The motor ohms out
but because of amount of water removed from it I am going to replace it and see what happens.
