Mind does the same thing, I'm not sure if it has to do with age or if it is time for new timer! mine does finish it's cycle, and wash's and rinses the cloths, does Yours? and it only does this in between wash and rinse cycle! The noise You hear is the timer making it's way through cycle, as I said I think it has to do with age, and in the future, hopefully a long ways into the future, the timer will need replaced! If This does this when You first start wash, then You may not be getting water into Your washer, Do you use city water or well?

SOURCE: programme dial again

yes thats your problem, the reason it wont unscrew is because of things caught inside ie coins gunk you will have to take out machine turn on side, there are two sometime four screws at front of machine where black dail is remove these, when machine is on its side you can acess pump from underneath, there is a black rubber hose which goes from drum to pump which is held on with a circlip remove this at pump end you will need a vicegrip, remove all gunk coins ect, refit all back to machine ,,problem solved......the reason dail was turning was because it was looking for progam to release water which it couldnt because of blockage, after tou unblock you will find that black srew on cover on front can be removed(always better to check for blockages every few weeks hopes this helps

SOURCE: Simpson Esprit 750 washing machine timer?

Hi! My Simpson Esprit 750 washing machine won't click over to the next stage in the cycle. All of the stages work if you turn the dial manually so I am wondering if it may be the timer that needs replacing? I can't hear it in operation. Thanks.

SOURCE: Indesit WA6x washing m - dial clicking around...

This sort of problem is usually associated with a faulty control board
If there is a reset point on the timer, then reset it, and try again, if it still does the same thing, then it it is going to be the control board.

SOURCE: washing machine stopped between rinse and spin

This could be either one of two things, and that is that you have a bad cycle timer, or a bad water pump. Either would give you the humming noise that you are hearing.

Can a faulty lid switch cause a washer to spin but not drain

Hum only means something is blocked mechanicaly. Not likely lid switch since it cuts power when lid is open.

AMD 121 won't shut off, or change cycles. Continuously "hums".

Did you try just unplugging from the wall outlet, and let sit for 15 seconds and plugging back in. Sort of like a re-boot on the computer? Just a suggestion.

My Kenmore 400 washing machine is relatively new and has always worked well, until yesterday when we were washing a load like normal and the washer just stopped working after filling full of water. We've...

My would fill up with water then not spin. Then it would do nothing. I called a repair man out it was the safety switch. You remove the top where the dial is and to the left side of the machine you will see a black connector, it plugs into the switch, the swtich will have a green ground wire. I replaced the switch it works great. The switch is $8 on amazon.

Wash will not drain

Hi, When the cycle goes into drain, do you hear the motor humming at all? If the motor does not hum, check the lid switch.
If the washer agitates, there must be a problem with lid switch ot timer. The lid switch is most common.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

It was the door switch all along. I replaced it. However the new switch hummed louder than the original. The switch comes apart and after cleaning the contacts, voila, the old switch worked like new again. Very easy to change on this machine. I will be taking the new switch back. Nice to know some things are easy to fix. Just simple mechanical point type contacts. Not bad for a 7 year old machine.
