Lights flashing water wont drain but making a humming noise

Maytag MWU107ECWG . lights went out on all sections but still making a water draining noise and humming. Turned off power and back on lights come on but are flickering Start dial at stop position but machine still humming ,sounds like trying to drain but drum isnt moving. Last washing machine the pump went on it because I hadnt cleaned the filter with this one I have been cleaning every week and very little in it, slime rather than fluff. COuld the pump have gone on this as well?

  1. nspect the drain hose for kinks
  2. Test the timer control
  3. Test the lid switch (some models)
  4. Inspect the water pump
  5. Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
  6. Inspect the motor coupler

Water leaks from bottom of freezer side even though the water is turned off. Also makes a humming noise prior to leak. Leaks about every 3 days.
Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section underneath the evaporator coil. (hint: use turkey baster with hot water) Make sure water drains when you pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the unit behind the cover. When done - make sure to put the tube exactly where it was.

Humming sound could be jammed pump.Remove th filter and check pump Blades are free, nothing is stuck in it....

Maytag MAH 24 does not drain and makes weird humming noise
i also have this problem. to get the door to unlock, just unplug the washer and it should open in a min or two. you will hear a click. you may have a mini flood but at least you can get your cloths out and bail out the water. my problem started when i began using a new detergent from Tide called total care. Still tying to get the pump to work.

Lights blinking
I have a 3122 and had a similar problem, Lights flashing, humming noise and me standing there scratching my head! I emptied all the water out of the filter basket and then tilted the machine backwards (only needed about 20 degrees) and then the rest of the water drained all over the floor... about 1/2 a liter. Now its all good! and the missus is nun the wiser!

Humming noise
humming is the motor powered up but not turning. burning smell is the motor overheating. cause may be the motor capacitor which is a cheap part. try replecing it and hope thge motor survived. could also be a foreign object in the pump impellor
