Easyshare Software Hi, I have been trying to locate someone or place where I can obtain acopy of the Kodak Easyshare Software - Version 3.0.1.Mine crashed and Kodak told me to just download their latest version - I did and it "STINKS"!Can you assist me here?ThanksKen [email protected]

The 3.0 is no longer available on the website and support is also discontinued on that version. Try downloading the new version 8.0 for xp/vista or 8.1 for win 7 ,make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements of the program, download the program at www.kodak.com/go/edl

Computer does not respond to camera being on and plug in

Hi,

  • Start EASYSHARE Software.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > About Kodak EasyShare software.

  • Note the software version. If you have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, review the help information for Transfer Pictures.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > Kodak EasyShare Help.When the Welcome to EasyShare Software window appears, select Transfer pictures, then read the help information.

  • If you do not have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, go to EASYSHARE Software Downloads, then follow the instructions to download the latest version of software. Approximate download time is 5 minutes for Cable/DSL, or 2 hours for a dial-up connection.


If that doesn't solve your problem you can manually add your pictures/videos to easyshare software.
  • In easyshare Software, select My Collection, then select Add Pictures. The Add Pictures screen appears.Look at the Select a location field. If the My Files folder is collapsed, click the + to open the folder.In the Select a location field, select your camera folder, for example: M381 Digital Camera. Thumbnails of the pictures/videos on your camera internal memory, and on a memory card if one is in your camera, appear.

  • Select the pictures/videos to add to EASY SHARE Software, then click Add Pictures. To add all the pictures/videos in the folder, click Add Entire Folder.Click Done.

My computer won't recognize my camera. All of the USB ports are working (I checked them with other devices) but none of them are working for the camera...

Please follow the instructions:
  1. Uninstall Easy Share software:
  2. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs.
    For Windows XP operating systems, select Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs.
  3. Select Kodak Easy Share software.
  4. Select Remove (or select Change, and then select Remove).
  5. Run the Clear utility:
  6. Visit the CLEAR Utility for Kodak Easy Share software Web page at www.kodak.com/go/clear
  7. Click the Download button, and then follow the on-screen prompts.
  8. After restarting your computer, visit the Kodak Easy Share software Web page at www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw and install the latest version of Easy Share software.

Using kodak easyshare for reducing image size

Just for fun and for you I opened the Kodak software. Here's the steps to shrink an image. I will not be using their software for this feature! 1. Open the Kodak main application. 2. Find your picture and right-click, EDIT it. 3. Click (in the editor) the Save As button and set the Resize Picture to the percent you want. IRFANVIEW seems easier. Bob
