SOURCE: I NEED THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SETTING THE CHIMES/TIME ON MY WESTMIN

Manually turn the minute hand forward until the 16 westminster chimes sound and then the hour strikes. Then remove the minute hand (it will go on in four positions) and put it back on at the 12 o'clock position. The chimes should now be back into sync.

SOURCE: tempus fugit westminster mantle battery operated

I had the same problem but the solution is unbelievably simple. Just set the hands to the time desired by turning the round button on the housing. Now you mmust tell the quartz timer/clock (plastic rectangular mechanism) the same time as you have set the hands. In this way when the hands hit the Quarter hours/half hours and the hours, the electonic chimes will chime the correct time.

Ultra simple. The two hour buttons and two minute buttons represent a 24 hour clock. Example, how to set the clock to 2:50 PM. Easy, change the 2 PM to its 24 hour counterpart, i.e. 14 hundred hours.

Move the hands to 2:55. Push the first button once for 1, push the second button 4 times, push the first M button 5 times, push the second M button 5 times. Move the set button back to run and there you have it. 1455 Hours. Not it should chime correctly. As a tip, use a brand new fresh battery to try this out.

Elgin Quartz Full Quarter Hour Westminster Chime. Parents passed away and we have this clock. The problem is that it's hour chiming at 22 minutes past the hour. How do we get it back in sync?

Question edited for clarity.

How do you Synchronise a Westminster chime clock?
Set the time by moving the big hand forward, pausing at the 11 o'clock position. Listen for the subtle sound of a spring unwinding before moving further. Move the big hand to the 12 o'clock position. Pause and listen for the clock to strike the number of times indicated by the little hand.

I have a Daniel Dakota quartz mantle clock with Westminster chime but a black wire coming from chime housing and going in battery compartment came loose and it stopped chiming. I'm sure it's a simple fix...

It is the negative wire from the battery box that came loose. Need to solder it back onto the battery box negative attachment point. Have a good look at the battery box outer side where the previous soldering point should be visible and solder it back on at that point.

How do i synchronize chimes with clock on westminister whittington clock .

The Westminster/ Whittington clock means that it has 2 or 3 settings.
1. Silent
2. Westminster Based on the music My redeemer liveth by Handel
3. Whittington
Set the clock onto the westminster setting, this is the easiest. At quarter past the hour it should sound 4 notes. The half past should be 8 notes. Quarter to the hour should be 12 notes and the hour should be 16 notes then the striking of the hour. For example on 8 'O clock you should hear 16 notes then the clock should chime 8 times. Sometimes if the hour is out just gently stop the pendulum, check what hour the clock is striking then without taking the hands off move only the hour hand to the hour. Do not do this with the minute hand.
I hope this helps you! If you are not sure please email me [email protected] I fix these clocks.
