My Tom Tom c60 will not let me get pass select language

If your tom tom is in a wrong language, to set it back or change it to the normal language, all you need to do is to reset it. To reset it, hold down the power on/off button for about 15 seconds, it will restart the tom tom, that way the language will be restored back to its normal language.
If you are not requesting to change the language back to its normal language, then to change the language to any other foreign language, what you have to do is to go to the gps settings, then you select from the options where you find language, then you select your choice language, that way your language will be changed.

That should do the job for you.

Turn the unit on, go to change preferences, go to page 8 in preferences. you will see a button marked "change language" in the upper left row. Select it and scroll through the list to your preferred language. Select the language you want and you're done.

follow the directions below and look for the icon of the flags...tap main map screen then preferences (little wrench icon) then use the arrow on the bottom right to page to the language icon...i think its the fourth page ...then select the language you want.

2. select "preferences"
3. move right with the arrow button until you see icon for "change language"
4. select/ choose " change language"
5. move using arrow buttons until you see "english2 then select that

That should be it .... sorted.

Customize settings:
Click Start >Control panel >Regional Languages >Advanced tab
select your languages

okay turn on your tom tom then touch he screen so the navigation menu comes up click change preferences then push the arrow key until the screen comes up with change language then select the language

Try taking the battery out, so that the phone resets itself to factory settings, that might work.
